The K9 been my daily carry in a Remora for a while now.
Great pistol with a near perfect grip.
I hated the wood-gripped one. Love the rubber grips.
YMMV.

Well, it's just fitting that our beloved leader own the Cadillac of the Kahr line. Of course, you didn't get the Concours edition (Elite '03), but you can send it off to Robar for some customization that will really say you have arrived. :D

Ha, true! Though I do like to keep my guns low profile, especially since this little piece will be with me pretty much anytime I leave my house. And the true Leader in Chief, JohnH, has the T9, which I will say trumps my K.....
Is it bad that I got home, began admiring the beauty and then immediately turned to thinking "I Need wood grips, a SS Guide Rod, etc etc...."?
I also now feel like I need a K40 to match it.....

keep an eye on the right side grip screws. If theyloosen up, u can get light strikes as that grip also holds that trigger bar in correctly. anutter thing is be very careful of that end of the wood grip on the right side that is up by the slide. Itr is fragile as there is a metal pease pressed into that area that makes contact withthe trigger bar and damn I bujped mine one time and it just busted off that end peace... My fault no doubt but again a fragile area not to be abused..
Nice gun. I like mine and shoot it better than my two PMJ9's. I ported mine and it shoots like a darn 22..

nexzt time try the purple locktite sold at most gun shops. It wil hold but it s for guns with little screws. Blue is stout and not needed in that area..

Blue lactate, I gotta see what to get the missus so she lactates blue. I love the concept.
Very nice piece of wood. The grain is very good for that weak area Jocko mentioned. Not sure on the other side of course but the side we see in the photo is great.

Good God, I forget how quick to jump on something y'all can be. I typed that on my phone, so you gotta forgive the spelling error...though I do prefer messing with things that can lactate over things that can loctite....just sayin' (did I use that correctly).
That being said I forget how much y'all like your gun porn. Here is the other side! Looks just as good as the first IMO.

Took this gun to the range today. OMG - I thought I wanted a Glock 17 because of how well I can shoot it....never mind. This little gun is scary accurate. At 7 yards I left one ragged hole....out of 50 rounds. I didn't throw a single one...Now it was about a 3" hole when I was done, but wow. The first magazine through it about half were touching each other. I could pick out a spot anywhere on the target sheet, and just drill it. I felt even better because in the range next to me was a guy with a Glock 17, light/laser combo, shooting a silhouette target, throwing his rounds every at 7 yards...I think his laser was a bit off, but even then high left, low right, etc etc. Glad to see my little gun performing like it was.
I moved the target out to 15 yards and kept the 14 rounds (2 mags) in about a 3" group. Not bad for that distance, and for the first time I've shot this gun.
Long story short, I would not want to be on the receiving end of this little gun. The recoil felt like nothing, and I had to keep slowing myself down to not get in trouble at the range because of how fast follow up shots are!
I think it's needs a K40 to keep it company. Not only does this thing look 100 times better than a Glock, I can shoot it just as well...

Great report. I have had my K9 for a couple of months now. I agree that mine needs a K40 to keep it company too! Maybe later this year. I love these little steel guns! I also have a K9 but I love the full grip and longer barrel of the K9. It is just a great, accurate shooter.

I get the whole smiley face thing for CM9's but every time I shoot my K9 I get a really stupid grin on my face. It's such a sweet shooter. It's definitely more accurate than I am.
Glad it went well. It's only gonna get better for you.

What would make better company for the K9? A K40 or a Desert Eagle 1911?
Pretty different guns, but I'm tore on which to get. I had kind of planned on the DE, but after shooting my K9....wow.....again wow. I've always heard good things, including from my dad who has an OLD K9, but after actually getting to the range.....WOW. I know I keep repeating myself, but I really think part of it is how easily concealable this gun is, how well it shoots, AND how good it LOOKS! I'm not used to really good looking pistols, as I've always gravitated more towards combat style guns (Glock, HK, etc) but this stainless with wood is just the cat's meow IMO.

For conceal carry, I'd go with the K40. Otherwise I'd take a 1911.

Jocko must be snortin' Ajax again...go for the K40. I think I've said it before but I'll say it again...
The K40 is the finest compact conceal carry pistol every made.
And that's totally objective, unbiased factual stuff you can take to the bank.
Not just some internet guy spoutin' off his opinion or nothin' like that. :)
When you shoot the K40, well, it's like budda.

You may be going through life frustrated, anxious and unsatisfied. The solution is simple...you must possess one. The sensation of emptiness, heartbreak and despair will quickly melt away, leaving you fulfilled...and complete. No mere handgun, the K40 is much, much more than that. It is the Home, the Mecca, the Mother Earth of the 40SW catridge. It is where gun and cartridge finally meet in a perfect, harmonious union of peace, calm, strength and control--poised with the graceful agility of the ballerina, and the confident resolve of the Sumo. Small, yet big. Loud, yet quiet. Enabling, like no other compact handgun can, confidence--with humility. Magic...forged in steel.

You people are fantastic!
Similar to a coupla P35 forums I follow, there are obviously some very smart people here that seem to chew on each other in a delightfully humorous way.
Laugh and the world laughs with you.
I've gotta laugh, otherwise?
I do also get a kick out of a radio show called "Cartalk", go figure? Find it, it's an hour of good laughs by a couple of Italian brother mechanics. :+)
That being said;
"If you haven't become cynical, your not paying attention"
I've just started looking and asking here about something that felt good a coupla years back; those sweet, steel, rubber gripped and single stacked dreams, yup; a Kahr! I'm getting some good feedback to my questions regarding the K9's before I buy, sincere thanks to all of U, and especially to my dear departed Aunt Flo that recently left me the $30 million. :+)
No calls please!

jocko, looks like skateboard tape,
That stuff is too ruff for my needs, cheap though. Peel and stick stuff found at skateboard/snowboard shops by the inch/foot, whatever.
I felt it was too rough to use, and didn't know if could safely remove it from my epoxy coated MKIII.
Did find some rubberized stuff with less of a bite (custom outdoor fabric shop), just need to figure out a safe/removable adhesive.
Thanks everyone.

Shucks I never noticed I did not respond to this thread and your questions.
The K9 on the right has been worked on, I believe it was cylinder and slide but it is not so marked.
You are correct it is some sort of tape on the grip. It has the target crown, 11 degree I believe. It has the stainless guide rod as well. Has been melted a bit and the trigger is polished but I can not tell any difference in the pull weight but it does seem to be slicker. It hasn't been melted quite as much as I would like and I intend to have the other one worked on one day or do the work myself. Trigger guard is rounded and that makes a heck of a difference, notice also the "scallops" in the frame at the trigger guard area. Oh mag well is beveled as well, I did bevel the mag well on the other one but it aint real pretty and when or if I ever have it worked on that will get some attention as well.
My wife touched it once and decided she was going to carry that Kahr so I went out and found the second K9 for $350.
In any event CONGRATS on the aquisition! And any Kahr is a good stable mate for a Kahr. I want a T9 and an MK9 to go in our stable.
