guys,

thinking of selling my P9, just not carrying it these days. want another pistol of some kind. but have some selling questions.

I've never sold a gun online, always traded at my LGS. but how in the WORLD do folks that list them here quote such low shipping costs? are they just taking a hit on the price of the gun?

I understand that I can just ship it to any FFL, but it has to go overnight (UPS or FEDX). I've had to do that before (w/ my PM9 back to Kahr) and if memory serves, it was upwards of $60-$70.

Any thoughts as to a listing price? (P9, KP9093, newer slide style, standard sights, stainless, 2 mags, box, paperwork, etc).

Love to hear your thoughts on shipping, just not getting why everyone quotes so low, and fixed prices right off the bat not knowing how far it has to go. The price goes up significantly to go cross-country.

Prices are a personal thing. I'd be somehere around 500.
As for shipping, I use a local FFL who uses USPS. A FFL can ship to another FFL with USPS, you can't. Costs run from 20-35 conus. What your FFL may add is up to them, so shop around.

My FFL dealer, who is NOT a gun shop owner because they charge too much, charges me $10 plus insured shipping cost to ship to the buyer's FFL by way of the Post Office. Comes out under $30.

Thanks guys, if I decide to list it, I'll check around w/ the local FFLs. I have one I use for purchases and I think there is a guy that works for one of my clients that has his FFL. I didn't realize THEY could ship USPS at cheaper rates, that'll be the way to go I think.

Thanks too josp for the price suggestion, my thought was in that range, depending on the shipping cost.
