My Mom went to a large family gathering, possibly a wedding, when she was a young girl. One of the children at the gathering, a distant relative, was named Yvonne. The girl insisted that her name was pronounced Wi-Von-ee (3 syllables). Everyone tried to correct her, but she brought her parents into the conversation and they also insisted on the incorrect pronunciation. I believe that was Bush. When the repubs talk military budget , they are referring to their cronie contractors. We had to shame them into adding protection to humvee's. The repubs never give anything to vets, just their contractors.

YOU had to do no such thing.

Ever been in the service? Was every vehicle armored against explosive devices? Go check every army in the world you will find that all of their vehicles are not armored either. I served my time sir. Was one of the first in my unit, our mechanic went to the canibalization point to pick out our vehicles. They were not armored against IED's either. That must have been the previous DEMOCRAT administrations fault, eh?
