Well after about three weeks and a few disappointments I finally purchased a lightly used CW45 today. I went to Lawmans with a buddy that picked up a CW9 this morning and looked at the p45 but could not justify that much money for an EDC gun. We went on home and he asked if I would like to go to the range after we cleaned his new toy so off we went to Eagle gun and Range in Concord I called then yesterday morning about a CW45 and they had none so I was not expecting to find one this afternoon but looked at the gun cases just to pass the time while waiting to shoot. Man was I surprised to see a consignment gun the case. after looking at it and talking to the owner it seemed to have less then a box of Ammo thru it. so we haggled on a price and I ended up with a nice CW45 to enjoy.
I put 50 rounds of Independence 230 gr ball ammo down range and had no issues at all and after about 3 or 4 mags I was able to put everything in a nice group in the black with consistency at 5 and 7 yards which is about the distance I will hopefully never need to use it at.

How much did you get it for?

Is $370.00 for a slightly/hardly used CW45 not a good deal?

Around here (Charlotte NC) new they go for $450 to $475, IF you can find one. So I think $370 was a fair price for it.
Lawmans, eagle and the great outdoors cannot remember when they had a new CW45. and Lawmans told me if I found a new one for $450 to jump on it.
So who knows what is good these days.

Welcome to the Kahrtalk forum supported by Kahr Arms.
Here are a few essential links and things to do BEFORE you take your new pistol to the range, and ESPECIALLY BEFORE taking it apart and trying to re-assemble it! The Kahr is a different design… 6-7 unique patents cover the Kahrs. I’m not trying to imply that you don’t know anything about guns, but many don’t know anything about the Kahrs and some of the things you can do to damage or cause malfunctions of your new, or new-to-you Kahr pistol.
First, if you don’t have a manual, yet, or one didn’t come with your pistol, you can download the pdf file here:
http://www.kahr.com/PDF/kahrmanual.pdf
Impatient? Watch one of these videos FIRST! These videos can point out possible problem areas and emphasize correct procedures!
Take down and re-assembly videos:

There are many links on fixing problems listed in several places… under the New Member or Kahr Tech sub-forums.
A very handy one is the Kahr Lube Diagram:

Many of your questions can be answered in these areas and you can learn how your Kahr works and not damage it with improper handling.
Frequently asked questions: http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp?
There are many helpful members here most of the time who might be able to help you, but as anywhere, there are many opinions and not all are correct. Be mindful of this before doing anything drastic to modify your pistol!

WYN
Thanks for this info.
I did get all the paper work with my Kahr cw45 and have cleaned it already. It is a different animal from my M&P and 1911. and if I had not read the manual I would have been in a bind for sure.
I will look at those videos this evening.
Thanks
