I recently replaced my front sight with a fiber optic that was the wrong height.

Now I am shooting very high.

I want to buy a new factory front sight for my cw9 however it is not listed in the parts page for that firearm.

It is listed for the cm9,cw40,cw45.

So my question to you is...

Can I purchase one of those other sights and have the correct sight height for my cw9.

I also contacted kahr via email however the did not respond.

Email sent on Friday the 11th.

I believe that the front sight is a common part across the "C" (and "E") series pistols, so if you purchase one from the CW40 page it will work on your CW9.
I base this assumption upon:
1. Kahr list the sight as a unique part to the "CM" and "CW" series (the old list included the "E" series as well): http://www.kahr.com/PDF/kahrpartslist.pdf
2. The FO front sight Kahr offers is listed as fitting all CW models: http://www.kahr.com/Sights/Kahr-CW-Series-Fiber-Optic-Front-Sight.asp
3. The same applies for the Trijicon night sights Kahr offers: http://www.kahr.com/Sights/Kahr-CWCM-Trijicon-Night-Sights.asp
4. The front sight on my CW9 and CW 45 are the same height.

Greg

Dawson Precision lists all CW series as having .180" tall front sight.

I got one of those Dawson Precision Fiber Optic front sights for my CM9 and it is too high, meaning I shoot low unless I change my sight picture. The FO rear sight is $50 plus paying a gunsmith to install it. I am not ready to do that...yet. It is not a target pistol and I have adjusted my sight picture, so no biggie.
