Dang! First I thought my package of ammo had gotten here quickly, but it was leaving Jacksonville, IL.:p
My package of ammo arrived in town today... this afternoon... and then... it was sent to freaking ORLANDO... at least 150 miles away... It arrived there hours ago... why didn't they just give it to me... today?? Delivery was "scheduled' for Monday the 29th... maybe they are killing time until then.WTF??

Why don't you go play with one of your other toys for the weekend and take your mind off of it Mr. Wyn. I feel your pain but these negative thoughts your thinking aren't good for you. Fondle (can I say that) your PM45 for awhile and see if you don't feel better about life in general. If not we'll have to resort to the breathing exercises. In with the good, out with the bad, hari krishna, hari krishna.
Dang, I'm feeling a little better anyhow.

Dang, It's after 03:30 and I'm still sitting here! I'm kind of excited about the gun show later today. I've added my 500 rounds of MFS .380 FMJ to the pile to sell tomorrow... that makes about $400 worth of "excess" ammo to sell... or trade, as a minimum... asking over $450 total, I think, by single boxes.
I'll be looking for some .45 magazine followers that might work with the PM45 mags adding an extra round AND keep the slide back on an empty magazine. And I need more targets... mine are pretty "holy" or is it "holey"?
I hope to see some decent guns, too... maybe even fondle a few... NOW I can't sleep!:D
Later.
Wynn:)

I just got an answer back from UPS... at least that was fairly quick. My comments in {}.

Thank you for contacting us. I have checked our tracking system, and it shows that billing information was processed on 03/22/10. However, this package was actually shipped on 03/24/10, and is scheduled for delivery on 03/29/10.

"Billing Information Received" indicates that UPS has received the electronic transmission of package detail from the shipper. In this instance our records indicate the package was not actually given to UPS on the date that the shipper processed the billing information for shipment. When this occurs the scheduled delivery date must be recalculated based on the date that we actually took possession of the package. {Snooze...Z Z Z Z Z}

The shipper selected UPS Ground service for this shipment, which requires 3 transit days for delivery. {At least! Less not allowed!}

Please be aware that Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not included as transit days. The ship date is also not calculated as a transit day. To calculate shipment time-in-transit, please use our Calculate Time and Cost feature at the following link:

http://wwwapps.ups.com/calTimeCost?loc=en_US&WT.svl=SubNav

From pickup to delivery, your shipment is routed through a complex and extensive delivery network. In some cases, routes may not appear to be geographically efficient.{DUH!} However, the established routes are developed to provide you with the fastest possible commit times. {WTF?}Packaging routing is designed to take full advantage of our delivery network capabilities{What? More of it than absolutely f***ing necessary?}, which ultimately accelerates the movement{??} of your shipment.{I hope the package is enjoying the extra travel!}

I am sorry for any confusion caused by this situation. I hope this information is helpful.

Please contact us if you need any additional assistance.

I guess! Where's it going next... California...? It wouldn't do to get here too early, I guess. Then everybody would expect their sh!t more quickly!

A little "Twilight Zone" music, please....:p

It's kind of like the old joke:

When checking in with the airline the customer said, "I'd like this bag to go to Denver, and this one to New York".
Attendant: "You're going to Dallas sir. We can't do that."
Customer: "Why not you did it to me last month".

Well, it's back in town but they don't do regular deliveries on Saturdays!

I wonder if it's going any place else??:confused:

I need to get going -- got to shave and figure out what clothes and gun to wear...heh, heh. I'm gonna wear the PM45 because I'm looking for a metal follower to give me another round in my 5-shot clip. I have one from a broken S&W mag, and it lets me load 6 into the 5-round mag by just swapping out the follower, but this version doesn't lock the slide back on "empty". I want to find one that does that... should be possible, but I'm ready with a disassembled 5-round mag to try followers out.
Later, got to shop and hawk my excess ammo.

Yup - for a company that prides itself on efficiency (minimize left turns) they sure are inefficient.

My last package did this:
Leander, TX
Dallas, TX
Cincinnati, OH
Sharronville, OH
Toledo, OH
Sharronville, OH
Cincinnati, OH (out for delivery)

I have had good experiences with UPS - until they are BAD. Usually around Christmas when they are overloaded. Bought some equipment in KY for a 2 day FL delivery week before Xmas a few years ago, and it took until Jan 15 to get. I tried calling customer service a few times and all they could tell me was what was on the tracking link... my package wound up taking a long vacation in Louisville before I got it and they would not refund shipping charges. At least I received it.

Well, that ammo package is back in town and maybe I'll get it Monday. I hope that package of ammo enjoyed the extra jaunt over to Orlando and back.:confused:

I put a gun show and ammo report on the Ammo sub forum. Nice day, but I didn't find everything I wanted at the show. I did get home with more ammo than I left with, and I sold $200 worth at the show. I still have most of the 9mm defense ammo, though.:rolleyes:

I saw something neat at the show -- a real $1,000 bill and a real $500 one as well -- McKinley. I tried to take a photo of those with my cell phone, but didn't get it saved. I use my camera, not the cell phone for pictures... usually, and am not adept with the cell phone.:(
