I wonder if a kahr would hold up like a glock if you tied it to a truck and drug it around a couple miles with 1 in the pipe?

I own a Glock and my MK40 will hold it's own against one.
I personally think the all stainless steel Kahr is stronger that my Glock.
You could run over my MK with a dump truck and it would still work.

An interesting proposition. I suggest we try it with one of your Kahrs. Please include picture with the test results. :)

an IMO who really gives a fokk if it hold sup being drug behind a truck or droped out a airplane. think about it. The ultimate test is when u pull that trigger and it goes bang.
Glocks are greatguns, way way way over ratred as far assurablilty goes IMO. Most allthese gun makes, their prodcts will last longer than the owner can ever shoot one out.
How many guns of any ake have u seen SHOT OUT?? Now be honest. I never have seen one and I sold um for 40 years. Now please don't throw a Jennings or Rohm or Kel tek in with that jcategory. I am talking about quality guns.
My thouhs would be if I seen u dragging a nice Kahr behind a truck is ,,,"wow what a dumb fokk"/

I want to see it because it deserves to be next to the glock and sig! If the glock jumps off a bridge the kahr should too!

It's not how much any gun can be abused, it's about going bang every time. I ran a Glock 21 to over 125,000 rounds in competition before the barrel lug sheared off (Glock replaced it for free). I just got a CW9 and am pretty sure it will never get to that round count, like any of my carry guns. I only put one hundred rounds thru it after the USPSA match on Saturday, but I like the way it runs and it actually has less buttons on it than the Glock. If I bought 6 more magazines I could actually run it in USPSA.

I kinda feel the same about some of those Pickup Truck commercials on TV...I don't need my truck to pull the Space Shuttle, Pull down an oak tree, Drive up a flaming incline with a 50,000 lb weight in the bed while trying to dodge a giant teeter totter and then run 80 mph to the edge of a cliff an slam on brakes to keep from flying off the end!!!!....Good Lord all I care about is will the thing crank up in the morning and get me to work for God's sake......

I haven't seen one in a while... still available online, though, I guess... the Triumph boat commercials were pretty funny... "torture tests" like the Bubba dragging the bare boat around with his pickup trying to see if it would still float afterwards... funny!

I don't know how well it would stand up to such abuse... Unlike Glock owners, those of us smart enough to own Kahr's don't treat them like this!!!
muggsy
03-19-2013, 07:29 AM
Guns are just tools. Treat them as such. I wouldn't drag a hammer behind my truck. Each tool has it's intended used. I wouldn't hammer a nail with my Kahr, but it is very good for drilling holes in bad guys.

well, the old coot that lived down at the end of the street when I was growing up would tie his shovel and flat hoe handles to the bumper of his car .... then drag them up and down the street to sharpen them. Sometimes he would forget how many passes he made .... kind like getting distracted while you're standing at the front of the room cranking the pencil sharpener on your last pencil
there's just some things best left to idiots
hhmmmm.... now that was all incoherent:rolleyes:

WTF
What combination of friekin drugs do you have to take to think this sort of nonsensical stuff up. Who in there right friekin mine would think to do such a thing in the first place, regardless of what brand pistol it was, and do you think your really going to need a truck to do this. I mean really what would it prove , that your a fokkin idiot, a heavy drug user,or an 8 year old with nothing better to do and active imagination. Good grief and we wonder why the anti's are the way they are when it comes to Gun ownership, gun registration and stiffer back ground checks with posts like this floating around on gun forums.

Calm down popeye. I didn't think it up I read about some guy doing it to prove it wouldn't go off. It passed the test and the only thing that happened to the glock was the front sight broke off. Chill out maybe you need xanax

Well that's a huge relief to me, I thought I was the witch!
I'm feeling better already.
I'm reminded of the time in high school when the auto shop class decided to finish off an ole chevy nova engine. We got it running and held the throttle down with a stick for a whole class. It was knocking to begin with, didn't figure it would last long. Went the whole afternoon and didn't blow up.
So next day we drained the oil out of it and did it again, still didn't blow up.
As I recall we gave up and called it ok. Maybe it was a Glock in line 6?
bet op troll dude is lovin' the hell out reactions to her posts
