I have one pistol on deck for being sold to a friend. It's a Ruger MK III 22/45 Target. The reason it's on the outs is that I bought the Mark III 22/45 with the threaded barrel to replace it, so now it's officially redundant.

But, the friend seems to keep having other things he'd rather spend his money on, so there it sits. And occasionally I wonder if selling it to him would be something I'd regret.

If you're including the Winchester, so will I. A Winchester Garand.

A few years back I sold a Colt 1911 in 38 caliber that had a 22 cal kit with it. Kind of wish I had that back.

Pre 1980's Colt 1911.

My Dad bought one from a friend back in the late 80's. I loved that gun. He traded it for something silly. Since then the friend is mad he traded it, Dad wishes he had kept it, I wish he would have given me the chance to buy it.

Someone is enjoying it now.

Ruger Blackhawk convertible 45acp/45 long colt. Complete action job and target sights added. Still the most accurate revolver I have ever owned. I know where it currently resides, but he won't sell it back ...Yet.

I sometime smiss my old Win 94 30-30. I quit hunting for a period in my 20's, and sold it. Now, I wish I had it as a brush gun for whitetail.

There are a few others I wouldn't mind owning, but I am really happy with what I have now.

My dad gave me this one back in early 80's - 1974 Colt Combat Commander. I almost sold it a couple times when money was tight, REALLY glad I didn't, it will be my son's someday.

My list is far too long to comprehend but some of the stand out screw ups on my part. A Dan Wesson pistol, a Colt Officers model, one of the first just to name a few.

My old Winchester Model 12 20 gauge shotgun. Lot of good memories associated with that gun. My father's Model 37 Ithaca for the same reason.

Yup seriously. The Dan Wesson was perfect but bought used, had the 4 barrels, the little brief case, two grips, all the stuff. Traded it for an 03-A3 1000 yard match rifle. Still have the rifle.

I bought the Officers Model brand new. Satin Nickel. Heard of lots of issues with them at that time but mine never balked once.

I've swapped a lot that I regret to this day. Every one of them, except the Glocks, had about 10 of those, all the same so can always get another if needed.

I think I've about decided I should have never got rid of any of the guns I've had....except maybe the Sig P220s....never cared for those.

I can't seem to give up anything, but a "friend" sold his Hi-Power without even mentioning to me it was on the market... It had THE nicest trigger....

The only pistol I've ever sold was an HK USP 9mm, and have ZERO regrets in getting rid of it.

A friend of mine wants to buy my Walther P99 QA (.40), and while I really like the pistol I'm not a fan of the caliber so I will sell it to him, but like Scoundrel's friend, the guy keeps needing to put the $$ elsewhere so for now the 99 stays with me.

I'd have to go with three: Kahr MK40 because I shoot it well, HK45C because it's the gun I'd take to a gunfight, and my SIG C3, because it's my favorite of all the 1911's I've owned.

Mine would have to be an original Colt Mustang, I know, not much of a gun, but I loved carryin' that little booger. I had one & my ex had left her's here when she left. A friend wanted one so I let him trade me out of one. My ex wanted her's, so now I don't have one.:(

I bought one of the last generations of the Colt Detective Special in the mid 90's for around $350-$375 as a first handgun purchase. For a variety of reasons at the time, I got nervous and sold it a few months later having never fired it. :o

I recently saw the same exact gun I had listed online NIB for $900! When I checked back a few days later, it was gone, so chances somebody may have actually bought it!

It wasn't until relatively recently that I renewed my interest in firearms and decided to buy a gun for personal protection, and I won't be making that same mistake again unless the gun I bought turns out to be a total lemon, or I'm forced to sell due to financial reasons.

S&W 586, Ruger Mark II bull barrel, both purchased 1985, and the Bersa Thunder traded in November. In other words, every pistol I no longer own except the LC9 I sold to buy my CM9!!

My buddy waited too long, and the MK III went to my dad instead. Buddy's a little sad, but I told him if he buys one on GunBroker, I'll help him remove the magazine safety. It's not exactly a hard to find gun.

Yep, Those are nice. I have the .380 government model, I don't shoot it. I just take it out and oil it every so often. That was the first gun I took all 3 kids out shooting all at one time about 7 years ago. Someone gave me 4 boxes of 20 year old winchester ammo and we shot it all in one afternoon. Every round fired too.

My list:

Hmmm, never sold any. No regrets either. I cherish each and every one of my little friends, even if I do have a few favorites.

A Dan Wesson Model 14, .357. 2" barrel. Traded it for a Kimber Custom II so I guess I did ok. Beretta Tomcat .32.... with 380's the same size coming out, figured I'd step up to a more powerful cartridge, but never did buy a .380.
