Here in Austin, KXAN TV just ran a segment on the arrest of a criminal who sold a stolen shotgun to a private dealer at a local gun show.

Seems the cops at the door inspecting the weapons being carried in got suspicious when the dude couldn't answer simple questions (make, caliber) about the shotgun & a rifle he was bringing in to sell.

Anyways, the thief sold the shotgun to a private seller/buyer at a table for $550, then the cop went & got the serial # from the gun to run a quick check. When it came up as stolen, he arrested the thief/seller who apparently was still on the premesis. Nothing else was said about the buyer.

The ignorant TV reporter then attempted to link this transaction to the "gunshow loophole" issue about background checks. Damned moron.

Which is why there are far, far fewer "criminals" at gunshows then the hysterical Demmys want the rest of the world to think...
