Her tragic experience is a big reason why Texas finally passed the "shall issue" CHL law. She was also elected to the Texas House.

After Governor Ann Richards had vetoed the first bill, George Bush defeated her in the next election and signed the new one.

The Luby's Massacre is always foremost in my mind when I'm being seated in a restaurant or public place. I want a good view and no one sneaking up behind me!

You & me both. The wifie knows that I'm going to take the seat with the best field of fire.....and knows to duck when told.

I would give up any ONE gun to slap that little spineless jelly fish, panty waste, weasel, Chuck Shumer, in his smirking mouth!

Slap!??:D

I was stationed at Abilene for almost 9 years and it took 3 votes while I was there to go "wet" in the county. I don't know why I brought THAT up, but years later my wife was stationed in San Antonio and we lived there for 5+ years. I voted for George Bush twice there and was so glad to rid of that b!tch Governor. Then we moved to Florida and I voted for Jeb twice, as well as GW.

I moved there in December 1991 just after the Luby's Massacre in October, and it and concealed carry were very much in the news. Texas finally got the CC law passed a few years later, but it was so restricted by the Democrat Attorney General that I couldn't see the use! We couldn't even carry any length lock-blade knives in San Antonio and were searched at the door by an off-duty cop the one time I went to a bar while there.
The one occasion I remember, was when my daughter and son visited us and we went to the Riverwalk and then to a bar a block or two away. The off-duty cop at the door asked me if my daughter was at least 21 and I said no... she would be 20 the next month! He said that was ok, since she was allowed to drink with her parents! Yay, Texas! I don't like to lie and figured we would be going home, but we had a nice evening.

I can't see your picture any more than I can see Bloomberg's reasoning. ;)
