Since Bawanna seems to unwind by chipping away at wood, and I had a pretty tough time finding a nice piece of wood under my new rifle, I don't see why he should got get a 4' 2x4 and whittle a nice little gun stock out of it. Give yourself a break from the grip business, and do some rifle stocks. Start easy and do a nice Zebra wood buttstock and for-end for my 870 and I'll gladly display pictures! (in all actuality my 870 has really good grain, I was very surprised).

Maybe a nice piece of pond dried ***** willow, grade AAA of course.
I did one stock from a blank for my brother in law years ago. At the time I didn't really have the proper tools. It took me 2 years. It turned out beautiful but I swore I'd never do another one.
Actually I started my bench wood working on stocks. Fixing em, lots of refinishing, checkering. Did a lot of transforming impressed checkering to cut checkering which is actually a good way to learn to checker if its pressed good. Kind of gives you a road map to follow.
Left a lot of sweat too, working on grandpa's 782 whistle poop magnum from 1928. You don't want to screw up. Nice thing about grips is if you screw up they fit nicely in the wood stove although I just usually use them for something smaller, not much goes to waste.
Kind of like that pink set for Jocko. I sweated on those babies let me tell ya. One good and a truck load of horse heads and the whole Italian mafia after me. I still look over my shoulder frequently.
Oh puleeeez, its a tree not a female body part, well I guess it's that too but that ain't what I meant. This is bawanna, not Jocko.

I still cherish that pink set on my totally engraved Model 60. talk about a true ghetto style gun. I have turned down alot of money for this gun and I now it is the pink grips you did for me. I wish I could take a good photo of these, maybe ol John H might have second thoughts. Just sayin...

Pussywillow
Well I typed it and then did Alt 163 whatever the heck that is and I got this. I think I fooled it by making it one word (by mistake)
Probably get my official I'm a pervert badge and decoder ring for this accomplishment.

***** Willow
How to get some if you need it..just sayin :amflag:
an old man in Mississippi is sitting on his front porch watching the sun rise. He sees the neighbor's kid walk by carrying something big under his arm. "Hey boy, whatcha got there?" "Roll of chicken wire."
"What you gonna do with that?"
"Gonna catch some chickens."
"You damn fool! You can't catch chickens with chicken wire!" The boy just laughs and keeps walking. That evening at sunset, the boy comes walking by, dragging behind him the chicken wire with about 30 chickens caught in it.
The next morning, the old man is out watching the sun rise and he sees the boy walk by carrying something in his hand. "Hey boy, whatcha got there?"
"Roll of duct tape."
"What you gonna do with that?"
"Gonna catch me some ducks."
"You damn fool! You can't catch ducks with duct tape!"
The boy just laughs and keeps walking. That night around sunset the boy walks by, trailing behind him the unrolled roll of duct tape with about 35 ducks caught in it.
The next morning, the old man sees the boy walking by carrying what looks like a long reed with something fuzzy on the end. ''Hey boy, whatcha got there?"
"It's a ***** willow."
"Wait up...I'll get my hat."
