You guys are harsh. First I lazy and undependable for forgetting, then it's ground hog day cause I do it a few days early so I don't forget.

And me still trying to sleep at night with Crabby on my mind. Sheeesh.

I need to buy a new gun to console myself.

Something else to consider... the real victim is ALWAYS disarmed... gun held for evidence... for how long?? Do you have a spare... or many as I do?

At least wrong as that is it's the same for officers or civilians. Around here in a best case scenario your gun is gone for a year minimum. Even on a justified shooting with no charges.

Only difference with an officer is we take the gun away from him and hand him another exactly like it nearly in the same motion. One advantage to Glocks, they are all exactly the same with zero personality so the officer doesn't have to grieve losing his 1911 with custom bawanna grips fixed up just as he likes it.

The officers gun will be out for a year minimum too.

Something else to consider in a shooting, even justified if you carry a back up gun and spare magazines etc, that all usually gets taken for the year as well. Even if it wasn't used or touched. In the incident related below all duty and back up guns both dept issued and personally owned were seized.

It took me 4 years to get my HK MP5's back after a shooting. Was told we would never get them back and to write them off. No money to replace them, just gone. I told the chief you just watch, I'll get them back.

They were nasty and uncared for when I finally got them back but I got em back in shape. Course now the sub guns are out of favor with LE and the M4 AR's with short barrels are all the rage now. Don't make sense to me either but seldom does anyone ask me.

Yup, you need a second gun for the just in case, all on the permit and ready to carry. My concern where I live is the gang stuff. If you have to stop one of them you will likely have to stop more shortly after. That's also why you don't want to carry a special (expensive or heirloom) gun.

In Florida,
my firearm and weapon permit has no list of guns connected to it.
I can pick any of my fourteen unregistered handguns.
Or borrow one of yours.
No Problemo.

I've always felt, even in the most righteous shoot,
I will loose my handgun for a year or more.

Plus what about gunsmith work and warranty service?
It's always been important to me to have at least two carry guns.

I should probably get a second twin HK45C...

Bawanna

In Washington our permits used to be CWL. Concealed Weapon License so knives and everything else were covered. I'm not sure why nor do I remember when that changed but I wish it hadn't.

No matter really, the constitution allows me to do what I want anyhow. The authorities just don't always remember that.

The mere fact that any state has any regulation (permits, licenses, etc.) or the Fed has any requirement, is ALREADY a violation of the 2nd Amendment.
We are already in an environment where our rights have been taken away.
We are only stopping the creep of more regulation.

The Good Book says that if a man lies with another man he should be stoned. Here in Washington they took that to mean something other than the original... They passed the the law to allow gay marriage and legalized pot at the same time so that you could do both. Bleahhhh.

Riddle

Here is a riddle for the true intellectual…. Try to come up with the
answer on your own. However, the answer is at the bottom for those who are
unable to think this one through.

Here's the riddle:

At the exact same time, there are two 35-year-old men on opposite sides of
the earth.

One is walking a tight rope between two skyscrapers at the 85th floor.

The other is getting oral sex from an 85-year-old toothless woman.

They are both thinking the exact same thing... what is it?

'Don't look down.'

I'm with you, I think Barth buys again before March 1st. It's in his blood.

Barth, what would you do if something happened to your cherished and beloved HK 45C? Shouldn't you have a twin brother just ready to go should you need it? Let me go on gunbroker and check for you...

I've been watching SuperBowl programming this weekend and I am so impressed with the quality of these champions. They are making a tremendous impact with youth and in their communities. So many of them are sincere in their faith and are thankful to God for their abilities. Some have overcome serious injuries and came back to have their best year ever. They are truly the best of the best.

I just watched a story about a man Ray Lewis calls a hero; OJ Brigance, who once played along with Ray in the greatest game but has been battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for over 5 years, is paralyzed and communicates using a computer like Stephen Hawking does. The saintly and positive way that he deals with it is truly touching and sobering, making my problems look small. OJ is a truly inspiring person. You can find out more about him on his website: http://www.brigancebrigade.org/.

I'm looking forward to the game! Like all of the playoff games, it promises to be close and exciting to the very last second.
Football! America's game! Nothing else comes close! :Amflag2:

I'm still in shock that I got a spanking new and flawless replacement
pistol from Arsenal.
Ask to have your gun repaired and get it replaced?
Just like that?

I keep double checking the serial numbers on the gun - LOL.
But the 300 rounds of HP and penetrators down range.
And the buttery action already confirmed it's a different weapon.

My new little hand cannon ROCKS!

Special thanks to Obummer for making this all possible.

Dang! I'm happy for you! I went to a gun show yesterday. Something close to that was $1,500 or more.

I had the "hurricane fund" and then some with me, but didn't see anything I wanted to pay too much for.

I did consider a Remington 7400 in 30-06 for $600, the pump model for $400, and a Garand for about $900, but decided I could pass those up. I did see someone selling 30-06 API... 20 for $25... no telling how old or where those came from... in Ziploc bags.

I made two passes or so around inside, talked a bit, and then went home having spent $8 to get in. I did see a lot of high prices... on ammo, too... $10 a box of .22LR... $80 a brick! I didn't see anything remarkable about the ammo!

The U.S. Postal Service created a stamp with a picture of President ObUMMER on it.
The Postal Service noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes.
This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation.
After a month of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings:

1. The stamp is in perfect order.
2. There is nothing wrong with the glue.
3. People are spitting on the wrong side.

just got through sorting about 500 cast boolits (two different styles) from a baggie, and cleaning the last couple hundred pieces (of about 350 total) of .38 spl and .357 mag brass from a buddy. Still have 50-60 pieces of .30-30 brass from the deal to process. For all that, I traded him 3 boxes of .223 bought several years ago that I don't have any need for. I did have to carefully inspect and toss several pieces of brass that were pretty well shot out, and toss several of his cast boolits. He ain't a pro caster, but I've loaded and shot enough of his boolits to watch 'em close.

Sometimes life is good in the slow lane:)

Yes, however there's no guarantees that any other data will still be intact.

Windows XP had a good run.
Vista was a miserable failure.

But I feel that Windows 7 was a strong OS that worked well. Many old circa-XP programs that did not work in Vista did work OK in Windows 7.

It's not possible for OS developers to make a good strong OS with new features that is 100% compatible with older software that other companies wrote for previous operating systems, and it falls on the shoulders of those other software companies to update their stuff to work with the new OS. That's progress.

If we stayed with Windows XP we'd stagnate. Even if the viruses didn't kill every computer.

Windows 7 was released to third-party vendors in July of 2009. If those vendors haven't been able to release a satisfactory new version in nearly 4 years to work with the new OS, who is really to blame there?

personally, I don't like having to spend $15-20,000 every 4-5 years for "upgrades"....for the sake of "progress". This last upgrade of my office network and upgrade of all software has been worse that the change from DOS to windoze OS. I was able to avoid the silly windoze2000 and vista for a long time, but some new gps positioning gear we just had to buy required the "upgrade" (and I use that term very loosley) to windoze 7. I hear 8 is nothing but a silly touch screen upgrade for entertainment purposes, so it's not on my want list. In 30+ years of using computer systems in my business I am getting used to the idea of taking at least one step backwards for every two steps forward. for the sake of "progress". It still don't make it any easier to digest.

I've been happy with XP Media edition 32-bit... XP Pro for the last 7 years or so, but my 1TB HD started dying last year and I had to do something. I made backups AND a copy on a couple of 640GB 5,900 RPM drives and have been using those to pull off my files.

I chose Windows 7 Professional because I was able to buy a surplus Dell CD with Win 7 Pro 64-bit for $75 or so online, and it's supposed to be able to run XP stuff in a compatibility window... or something like that. I wanted to make better use of my Quad CPU, too! I had made a "clone" of my old drive OS and some minimal stuff on an 80GB 7,200RPM drive... half of my original RAID setup. I used it to boot into XP ME to run some programs and make my calendars and do stuff I was not able to do with my new OS, using the full copy, but "broken" OS on the full copy.

I have those drive caddies that you just open from the front door and pop a bare SATA drive in... pretty handy. I also have external drives and caddies for drives that run with eSATA or USB3.0. I had all of that stuff going yesterday and this morning. I don't think I've lost anything important, but I would rather have been able to keep using XP ME/Pro. I still can. I have a LOT of stuff... never throw anything away!

I did screw up though, with the user name. Under XP I was Wynn and under Win 7 I used my first name and last name... big mistake, now I don't have access to some of my own stuff! That can really piss me off... "You aren't authorized" or Don't have a level of access, etc.!

It's funny, I thought of you and Jocko yesterday when my wife told me that one of her friends had to put down a horse. She kept the head. She actually asked my wife if anyone they knew was in need of a Nithing Pole.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nithing_pole

A nithing pole (Old Norse: níðstang), sometimes normalized as nithstang or nidstang, was a pole used for cursing an enemy in Germanic pagan tradition.

A nithing pole consisted of a long, wooden pole with a recently cut horse head at the end, and at times with the skin of the horse laid over the pole.[1] The nithing pole was directed towards the enemy and target of the curse. The curse could be carved in runes on the pole.

Range prices always suck. $10/box is high, but not outrageously so given current market conditions. I paid that without complaint the other day when I picked up my ZIP and forgot to bring my own ammo. Normally they're about $7/box for CCI Mini-Mags. I guess you didn't say this was at a range though. Still, it's not much more than normal cost. Buying by the box of 100 from local shops has never been economical.

I thought that I had gone overboard after my ammo buying binge over the last year too. Not anymore.

Assuming you were referring to my comment, you misunderstood.

Said friend thought I was going overboard stocking up on ammunition last year.

I'm really not sure how much .22lr I have. Somewhere in the 10s of thousands of rounds. It's the one caliber that you can/could affordably ensure you never run out of. I'd never criticize anyone for buying it by the truckload....especially these days.

I knew this was all coming, I never dreamed to this extent, or that even 22 would be so horribly effected.

I actually don't remember the last time I bought 22, I've been lucky to stumble into it, be given it, traded for it etc. It's probably the one caliber I don't care where it came from unlike my centerfires.

Good for you guys with good stock on hand.

I did try to lower the price for the G23C by letting them keep the mags, but could only get $50 off their asking price of $619.99 with two mags... better than my previous trip there or the gun show last weekend... no discount!

I let Wifey try to rack it and she did that okay. So, I'm still thinking of a G19... maybe compensated... for her. The Gen 4 has adjustable backstrap, if I can get one... probably only G19's will be available, though. I don't know that she NEEDS the compensated model, but she needs very visible sights. Her near vision is terrible and seeing the sights will require more visible ones than I do!

I can see the big yellow dot on my XD45's HD NS, but I want to try the Orange front sight HD's on the Glock. Dang, but there's a lot of plastic in the Glock! I did install an extended magazine catch and extended slide lock release. The catch is all plastic. The recoil rod is plastic. The back plate is plastic. I learned a little bit about the pistol... looked through the manual... pretty brief is you discount the French, Italian, Spanish, and the Gen 4 section at the back... plus all of the safety warnings.:D

I went over to Glocktalk to find info and watched two videos about the extended slide release installation... one by the Glockmeister. He sure wastes a lot of time. It's real easy to do and the magazine catch was like the Kahr... only easier to do... more room.

I only have two 13-round mags for now, but should get my 10 from Ivanhoe Saturday! I've been thinking about the G17 mags they have for a G19... spares or range use, but I think 15-rounders will be enough if I can find some of those. I think Wifey can handle the G19 and the Gen 4 would give her a slightly smaller grip with no add-on backstrap.

I saw some Korean GL15 mags with metal inserts like the factory ones, on GunBroker, but I don't know anything about those. I could NOT get one of the danged mags apart... only tried one... maybe after shooting a few hundred rounds they'll loosen up. I did what the manual said, but no success. I did use a pin the same size as the hole in the mag base so it wouldn't get deformed, too.

Dang! I've been up all night. Wifey's up drinking coffee before she gets ready for work. I need to get to bed! I "played" with the new pistol too long.

Well damn! I just read where Obama reduced the trade deficit by $7.7B to the smallest in almost 3 years. How can that be bad you ask..... He did it by increasing EXPORTS of US oil by $11.6B. I filled up today and paid $4.30, up from $3.76 about 3 weeks ago. He is determined to keep gas above $4.00 and will manipulate the supply to do it.

You need to go and find the truth here sir. The US does no export enough OIL to make a difference. Currently all of the OIL exported is exported to Canada where it is refined and imported back into the US. According to US LAW. The OIL corporations are however free to import as much as they wish and then to refine products from that IMPORTED oil and then EXPORT as much of those products as they wish. Yet the US still imports refined petroleum product...

http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_move_wkly_dc_NUS-Z00_mbblpd_w.htm

As I understand it there is some 9.3 million barrels imported per day and some 3.09 million barrels exported per day. The vast majority of imports is crude oil and the vast majority of exports is refined product. To the tune of 1.7 million barrels imported and 3 million exported of refined product.

US refineries are making a lot of $$$ refining that foreign crude.

Lot of tax revenue comes from that bidness.

That's a big reason Texas is going to have an $8 Billion dollar surplus this year. Of course the local liberals want to spend every dime of it.

Okay here's the truth:
------------------
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-02-08/trade-deficit-in-u-s-plunges-on-record-petroleum-exports.html
"A surge in U.S. oil production has made the nation the world’s largest fuel exporter. Petroleum-product exports to Brazil grew by 59 percent in the first 11 months of 2012, to 255,000 barrels a day, according to data from the Energy Information Administration (http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MPEEXUS2&f=M). Venezuelan imports from the U.S. rose 56 percent.

The U.S. met 84 percent of its own energy needs in the first 10 months of 2012, on track to be the highest annual rate since 1991, according to data from the EIA, the statistical arm of the Energy Department. The country’s crude output grew by a record 766,000 barrels a day last year to the highest level in 15 years, the biggest annual jump since the first commercial well was drilled in Pennsylvania in 1859."
----------------

So 255K barrels a day go to Brazil (not likely to be returned refined). Obviously some goes to Venezuela and I read a very long time ago that a good amount of the oil in Alaska is shipped to Japan.

It's good that the US met 84% of it's own requirements but I want it to meet 100% and cut the OPEC off at the knees. We can ship surplus oil after meeting all our needs. We keep hearing the rhetoric about getting out from under the OPEC and become energy independent so why aren't we? We have the capacity to do so quickly if we didn't sell it to other countries until becoming independent. I guess oil independence is not a very high priority anymore, right?

Becoming energy independent on PETROLEUM products or fossil fuels is NOT one of Obummer's goals. He wants the U.S. OFF that stuff and using solar, wind, and moonbeams. Remember... he did not come to the U.S. to make our country stronger or greater, but to bring her DOWN... because of past colonial power misdeeds... exploiting less developed countries. He's doing a good job of that.

if that twitt would let the oil drilling along andlet it grow, we could be big time exporters, NOT IMPORTERS. He hates anything that comes fro the ground. It amaqzes mehow ONE TWITT can ruin this cuntry ad both parties just sit back like it OK.
I personally do't want afokking wind tower in my back yard. Mostof us ol timers have lived in the days when balck smoke was coming out of every chimney in the cuntry as coal was the #1 fuel back then and thencame along fuel oil which replaced home coal use, andi just don't remember in all my years of seeing anyone dropping over dead from coal and oil back then, and today our coal and oil is a 100 times more cleaner burings and fuel efficient but this twitt refuse to letus get to our most popular source of energy in the world. He is just notright in the head . Solar power unless subsudized would close up tomorrow. It is by far and I mean by far the most subsudized of all of our fossil fuels combined... Same thing for fokking ethonol. almost 45 cents per gallon government subiidy. Does that make sense WHO is paying for this sh!t???u know damngood and well who is..

I've never owned a high cap center fire rifle before.
So when I got my Arsenal Bulgarian SLR-106U
(I think than may be code for a semi auto AKS-74U).
I bought my standard six mags.

Not so many years ago I thought three mags for a weapon was the right number
(have three for my MK40).
One in the gun and twin reloads right?
But shooting a lot it's nice to have extra mags at the range.
Then just leaving three loaded with SD ammo
and having even more for the range sounds good.
Finally, this prospect of a ban.
A ban with likely no sunset provision.
has me really spooked.
And Imports could be severely restricted as well.
So I bought a few more.
Supplies start to vaporize.
So I bought a few more.
Prices start to double and triple!

Now logically it seems like ~10 is a good number for an AR/AK platform.
But with everything else taken into account 15 seems like a better number.

Now, late last night, emotion takes over and I've just got to have four more - LOL!

So I guess the magic number for me is nineteen.
For those that thought I'd buy a new handgun this month - sorry.
I've spent enough on Arsenal Circle 10 Waffle mags to easily buy a nice handgun.

point of information... the 45 cent per gallon ethanol subsidy ended in December 31, 2011;
End of Federal subsidy.

jocko
02-10-2013, 03:49 PM
really, I did not know that. The government just did an endrun around the subsidy, as it is basically there.

So why did the powerful corn ethanol lobby let it expire without an apparent fight? The answer lies in legislation known as the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), which creates government-guaranteed demand that keeps corn prices high and generates massive farm profits. Removing the tax credit but keeping the RFS is like scraping a little frosting from the ethanol-boondoggle cake

What is exported to Brazil and Vensuela is refined product not OIL. At least according to EIA.

It's A Harley Joke

A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head
from the motor of a Harley motorcycle
when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop.

The cardiologist was there
waiting for the service manager
to come and take a look at his bike
when the mechanic shouted across the garage.

"Hey, Doc, want to take a look at this?"
The cardiologist, a bit surprised,
walked over to where the mechanic
was working on the motorcycle.

The mechanic straightened up,
wiped his hands on a rag and ask,
"So Doc, look at this engine.

I open its' heart, take the valves out,
repair any damage, and then put them back in,
and when I finish, it works just like new.

So how come I make $39,675 a year
and you get the really big bucks ($1,695,759)
when you and I are doing basically the same work?"

The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over,
then whispered to the mechanic . . .
"Try doing it with the engine running

Condoleezza Rice has more than a little bit of class! She's VERY intelligent and a confident Lady. She was a terrific confidant of George W. and a great Secretary of State. She's also a talented classical concert pianist. I would have loved to see her as President or Vice-President. She's a real Lady... with a capital "L". She's a patriot and champion of America, not one of Obummer's apologists!

(I borrowed this OP from the S&W Forum.)

Small city 1.5 hours South of Seattle. Husband and wife detect a home intruder. Intruder is confronted by armed husband. Intruder lunges at husband and intruder is shot. (non-fatal)

In his press conference the head of the local law enforcement agency said the following.
- we can't be there when you need us the most so everyone should be prepared to defend their life and property.

- the only things I think the homeowner could have done better was to shoot sooner, more often, and to use a higher grade ammunition!

The Number 2 Holster (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ruger-LC9-Crimson-Trace-Laser-Number2Holster-Bathroom-holster-/110885984846?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d151da4e#ht_2376wt_1184) will keep your gun accessible while you sit on the toilet and do your business. http://www.guns.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Toilet-Holster11.jpg
Carrying a firearm is a great way to protect yourself, but it’s only effective if you have enough time to bring it to bear against an attacker. What happens when the bad guys catch you with your pants down – literally?
That’s a problem that gun owners have been struggling with ever since the invention of gun powder. Balancing it on the toilet paper roll is just asking for trouble, and keeping it someplace where it might plunk into no man’s land will leave you shopping for a new uncontaminated gun.
This holster will solve all or your toilet carrier conundrums by allowing you to store your firearm in a holster that’s attached to a necklace. With this holster, your gun will always be on hand even if your normal holster is down around your ankles.
The great thing about this necklace is that it doubles as gun fashion. For those of you who live in open carry states, nothing quite says, “Don’t even think about it” like wearing a Magnum around your neck (http://www.guns.com/man-arrested-for-gun-necklace-7840.html). We should all take a moment to thank The Truth About Guns (http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/06/chris-dumm/i-am-not-making-this-up-toilet-holster-edition/) for making this discovery. Without them, we probably wouldn’t have ever known about this life-saving product.

Update to the 911 call heard on Shawn Hannity, Fox and Boortz.... Loganville Ga. Mother, Melinda Herman who hid with her two daughters in crawl space during a January home invasion who shot the intruder Paul Ali Slater 5 times in the chest with a .38 special at point blank range....

Slater walked out of the hospital today returning to jail to face burglary and assault charges...

Moral of story, They grow predaters bigger and meaner now so shoot um with much bigger bullets many more times for better less problematic results....Good thing she only had to shoot the one punk 5 times and didn't have to deal with his partner or things might have ended ugly for Mrs Herman and her daughters.....

But that's another subject that we don't need to bring up here, as it just inflames emotions. These ONE-ISSUE objections have given us the likes of Obama to run our country into ruination... dividing the country and conquering OUR nation.

LOL! You win! Just ribbing ya. But you are mixing the two subjects in my post. Monkey's and missing links didn't have anything to do with the subject in the second paragraph. But you craftily ignored my conclusion that you have been using that question ("Any body notice I'm getting better?") in several posts to continue to say the words monkey, or missing link or mention his wife has a big butt. We talk about Murphy's Law a lot here, I would call these corollaries, myself:

MURPHY'S OTHER 15 LAWS

1. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

2. A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well.

3. He who laughs last, thinks slowest.

4. A day without sunshine is like, well, night.

5. Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

6. Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't.

7. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

8. The 50-50-90 rule: Any time you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

9. It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end to end, someone from California would be stupid enough to try to pass them.

10. If the shoe fits, get another one just like it.

11. The things that come to those who wait may be the things left by those who got there first.

12. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

13. Flashlight: A case for holding dead batteries.

14. God gave you toes as a device for finding furniture in the dark.

15. When you go into court, you are putting yourself in the hands of twelve people who weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty.

This is only half of an email I got, but I like it:

The Washington Post's Style Invitational also asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition.

The winners are:

1. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops
bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

2. Foreploy (v): Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of getting laid.

3. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the
subject financially impotent for an indefinite period.

4. Giraffiti (n): Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.

5. Sarchasm (n): The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

6. Inoculatte (v): To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

7. Hipatitis (n): Terminal coolness.

8. Osteopornosis (n): A degenerate disease. (This one got extra credit.)

9. Karmageddon (n): It's like, when everybody is sending off all these
really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's
like, a serious bummer.

10. Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day
consuming only things that are good for you.

11. Glibido (v): All talk and no action.

12. Dopeler effect (n): The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter
when they come at you rapidly.

13. Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after
you've accidentally walked through a spider web.

14. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

15. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a grub in
the fruit you're eating.

And the pick of the literature:

16. Ignoranus (n): A person who's both stupid and an a$$hole.

The meaning of dreams

A woman woke up one morning, turned to Jocko and said, "Honey, I just had a dream that you bought me a new gold necklace, What do you think it means?"

"I don't know, but Valentine's Day is coming soon. Then you'll know," he said.

A few nights later, she again woke up after having a dream. She said, "This time, I dreamed you gave me a pearl necklace. What do you think it means?"

"You'll know on Valentines' Day," he replied.

The morning of Valentine's Day, she told him about yet another dream: "This time I dreamed that you brought me a diamond necklace, What do you think it means?"

"Honey, be patient," Jocko said. "You'll know tonight."

That evening, Jocko came home with a package and gave it to Mrs. Jocko. Delighted, she opened it -- and found a book titled "The Meaning of Dreams". :yo:

The Good Wife

On a bitterly cold winters" morning a husband and wife in were listening to the radio during breakfast. They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the snowploughs can get through." So the good wife went out and moved her car.

A week or so later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snowploughs can get through." The good wife went out and moved her car again.

A few days later they were again having breakfast, when the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park...." Then the electric power went out. The good wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face she said, "I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on so the snowploughs can get through?" Then with the love and understanding that all long-married husbands possess, he replied, "Why don't you just leave the f'ng car in the garage this time?"

They meet a Martian couple and are talking about all sorts of things.
Charlie asks if Mars has a stock market, if they have laptop computers,
how they make money, etc.

Finally, Maureen brings up the subject of sex.

'Why?' he asks. 'What's the matter?'

'Well,' she replies, 'it's just not long enough to reach me!'

'No problem,' he says, and proceeds to slap his forehead with his palm.
With each slap of his forehead, his member grows until it's quite
impressively long.

'Well,' she says, 'that's quite impressive, but it is still narrow.'

'No problem,' he says, and starts pulling his ears. With each pull, his
member grows wider and wider until the entire measurement is extremely
exciting to the woman.

'Wow!' she exclaims, as they fell into bed and made mad passionate love.

The next day the couples rejoin their other partners and go their

Speaking of Texas...

A big Texan stopped at a local restaurant following a day roaming around in
Spain ...

While sipping his wine, he noticed a sizzling, scrumptious looking
platter being served at the next table. Not only did it look good,
the smell was wonderful.

He asked the waiter, 'What is that you just served?'

The waiter replied, 'Si senor, you have excellent taste!
Those are called Cojones de Toro, bull's testicles from the bull fight this
morning. A delicacy!'

The cowboy said, 'What the heck, bring me an order.'

The waiter replied, 'I am so sorry senor. There is only one serving
per day because there is only one bull fight each morning. If you come
early and place your order, we will be sure to save you this
delicacy.'

The next morning, the cowboy returned, placed his order, and that
evening was served the one and only special delicacy of the day. After a few
bites, inspecting his platter, he called to the waiter and said, 'These are
delicious, but they are much, much smaller than the ones I saw you serve
yesterday.'

The waiter shrugged his shoulders and replied, 'Si, Senor. Sometimes
the bull wins.

This is cool! It will amaze you! But it is a trick, so if you figure it out don't post it.

as long as they never got out of the city limit limits of Dallas, Austin, San Antonio or Houston, they would blend right in. All them other towns, and most anywhere in between, they would certainly find some "difficulties". Unfortunately, Austin has become our very own version of San Francisco.

That was always my thought. I only went up there for a few Ham Radio Fests while living in San Antonio. It's a shame that Liberals start flocking to an area and then they change it to something like San Francisco!

Hey, Barth! I went to the range/LGS with the new G19 Thursday and saw your "pistol"... only $1,199! They had 3 or 4 different .223 pistols.

u guys are so kind to an ol man, I would like to \verbally thank you all but as u know this forum has some rules.

But tahnk you anyhow.

I do like the two guys in the farm lot and I am not impressed with the two hogs o the John Deer 3 wheeler. Just sayin. For a minute there I thought it looked like CJB, but I know he only goes i for thin chicks. He rides a HOG but he doesn't need to be seen with a hog. Just sayin.

Maybe sme day I can do u guys a jocko favor. Right now I am being inspected by the FDA over the possability of maybe "wasI" selling horse meat over seas for bologna and Italian salami.. I am gonna take the lance armstrong approach, I SWEAR I DID NOT DO THAT.

LOL,
Yup my LGS has them at that price too.
Got mine for $862.00

I totally love my SLR-106U.
But for $1,199?!?!?

Lots of people are going to lose money betting when I'll buy my next gun.
At these prices it's not going to happen.

UPDATE: The Arsenal SLR-106U is now priced a $1299 at Shooters World Tampa!
