Strange Timing

News reports say 15 year old Hadiya Pendleton who performed in several events at Obama's inauguration was shot and killed in Chicago yesterday afternoon....

She had taken shelter with about 15 other kids during a heavy rain storm when a gunman dressed in all black clothes jumped out of the bushs and opened fire on the teens killing Hadiya and then jumped in a car and sped away after the shooting and has not been seen since....Hadiya was called a walking angel during her performance for the President and became the 42nd person to die by gunfire in the Chicago metro area this January...Sen Richard J. Durbin immediately called for stronger gun control laws saying that the gun violence epidemic is Chicago's biggest concern and must be strongly dealt with.....

Something about this smells funny, I hope I'm wrong but this young lady just seems to have a little too close of a connection to Obama to believe it to be a mere coincidence.... How far would this administration go to get their way on gun control?????

He comes from a very civilized area, Chicago and he's just trying to share that peace and tranquility and sense of safety with the rest of the nation.

Forgive me if I don't see a conspiracy behind every tree, but Hadiya is just one of 500 who will lose their life to gun violence in Chicago this year. I see her as a poor unfortunate who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Chicago can't pass any tougher gun laws as you can't own a gun in Chicago as it is. Proof positive that gun control laws only serve to disarm the law abiding. I'm sorry for her families loss.

I don't think they can use Chicago to further their gun control since Chacago already has some of the strictest gun laws in place and it is failing to stop gun crimes and murders in Chicago. It is not a good example for gun control.

I think that Chicago gun control advocates would say that it is not enough for Chicago to have tough gun laws but that the tough gun control must be universal. I think they would argue that it is too easy to get guns elsewhere and bring them into Chicago. Kinda like alcohol during prohibition? :rolleyes:

I need to clarify my original post somewhat to clear up the point I was intending to get across...I am not a conspiracy theorist at all and I don't think there was anything odd about this case or that the Government had something to do with it at all but it was just another random example of gang violence that took a 15 year olds life for no reason ....While this is a tragic event and I really feel for her families loss, this case is NOT National News worthy but what made it so was her slight connection to Obama...

What the liberal media is doing is to zero in on any case involving children and gun violence and what is crystal clear here is that backround checks don't work because gang bangers don't buy their guns from the LGS or over the internet at Gun Broker or Buds, they steal them or buy them from other criminals on the black market with no paper work what so ever and it's only the legal honest law abiding citizens who don't shoot teenagers in a city park who have to put up with that hassle....

On paper N.Y. and Chicago should be the safest place on earth but in reality we know the exact opposite is true but my main point is that the media will be working double overtime to report any story involving the trifecta of children. guns and Obama...After all everything he is doing is for the children and their future.....Thats right isn't it?????????

According to their logic, the solution is to get rid of all guns. They don't know how they are going to disarm the criminals, but doing it to law abiding citizens is a good start. The thinking is that with no guns being legally made, sold or owned, the supply to the criminals will dry up.....eventually. Guns are durable, though. So how mant decades, how many generations will we suffer as defenseless sheep until all of the guns are gone? But oh, if it will just save ONE CHILD!!!
