Just had the opportunity to shoot my CW9 for the first time last weekend. What a great shooting pistol. I have Glocks, Sigs and others, but this is now my favorite pistol to shoot. I was a little apprehensive about the trigger, but after only a few rounds it "clicked" and I was shooting tighter groups than with my Glock 19 (which I have thousands of rounds through). Fits my small hands perfectly.

Fired 100 rounds, cleaned my CW9 and am ready to finish the break-in this weekend and begin carrying this fine pistol. My Glock 19 will now stay at home in my safe.

Thankfully, my wife is not a fan of the longer trigger pull (yet) and so it seems I won't have to fight her off to keep it to myself.

Welcome Jewertt. Congrats on your new CW9. Always like hearing good range reports and new people enjoying these fine pistols.

Give your wife time, there probably will be another Kahr joining your collection soon.

In the winter, I can easily conceal a G19/23/32, but in hot summer months, Kahrs are tough to beat.

Don't give away your G19 yet. Glad you're enjoying the Kahr.

Welcome to the forum, Jewertt. That's a great pistol I have the K9(since 1998), the P9 and a P40... perfect-sized pistols. I really like that compact, well-balanced size.

Here are some links and info to help you get familiar with your new pistol.

Welcome to the Kahrtalk forum supported by Kahr Arms.
Here are a few essential links and things to do BEFORE you take your new pistol to the range, and ESPECIALLY BEFORE taking it apart and trying to re-assemble it! The Kahr is a different design… 6-7 unique patents cover the Kahrs. I’m not trying to imply that you don’t know anything about guns, but many don’t know anything about the Kahrs and some of the things you can do to damage or cause malfunctions of your new, or new-to-you Kahr pistol.
First, if you don’t have a manual, yet, or one didn’t come with your pistol, you can download the pdf file here:

Impatient? Watch one of these videos FIRST! These videos can point out possible problem areas and emphasize correct procedures!

There are many links on fixing problems listed in several places… under the New Member or Kahr Tech sub-forums.
A very handy one is the Kahr Lube Diagram:

Many of your questions can be answered in these areas and you can learn how your Kahr works and not damage it with improper handling.

There are many helpful members here most of the time who might be able to help you, but as anywhere, there are many opinions and not all are correct. Be mindful of this before doing anything drastic to modify your pistol!

Wyntrout-thanks for those links. I've already utilized the lube diagram and it was quite helpful. I'm looking forward to making use of everyone's knowledge and experience. Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
