Looking for a good slip on grip that will fit the CM9. I checked Hogue, but surprisingly they didn't even have Kahr listed.

I saw a Pachmayer grip at a LGS that said it fits the P380 but it didn't come up on their website.

I opted for the Talon grip instead of a slip on. Made a great gun even better.

I put the Hogue Handall JR. on my CM9.

It fits my hand better installed upside down.

I like the feel of it and it does cushion some of the recoil but I think I am going to pull it off.......it's snaggy during pocket carry, the handle prints a little more than I would like, and it will squirm around on the grip at the range.

Better choices out there for sure.

If you don't need the finger bump on the front, I just use the homemade rubber bicycle inner tube grips on my Kahrs. CM9 and CW45

All my Kahrs has a Hogue HandAll on. It is universal for all sub such as like CM, CW. Go get one, you won't regret.

Worst, just throw away .... less than $10 bucks.

I like the Lone Wolf Kwik Grip (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1150&CAT=84) for my CM9. It is listed as a fit for the Glock 26. Below are a couple of pictures of the grip with my new Kusiak holster. The grip feels better to my hand than the Hogue and the cost is about the same.

^^^ I agree, I have a Quik Grip size 2 on my P9 and I like that it doesn't have the finger bump or add unnecessary bulk. IMO the feel is spot on

Even if you need a finger bump, you can do it. You can do any kind of hump in your imagination. I used my Grand daughters hair tie under my inner tube to make a hump. It does make a difference in how the grip felt. Here is a picture of mine. Jim

Tinman you come up with the craziest pics and videos for just about any topic. They always make me laugh! That's great

Jim, that's a clever solution you've come up with. Thanks for sharing that. I think I might do a little experimenting of my own with that hump. Good job

Thank you sir. I tried many different ways for a grip, with stick on up to the handall. The Handall grips are to bulky to me and takes away from the gun being small and concealable. I race BMX and have tubes laying around, but I had a buddy bring in a tube from a Road bike because it was a lot smaller. It was a pain to get on there but it is tight and will not move. You can use any thing from strips of cut up inner tube and even rubber bands. I just wat to tame recoil a bit and take some bite out of the cheese graders. It really helps with your grip and I do not have to reposition at all when shooting IDPA. Jim

I'll just add this. If all you want to do is tame the cheese graters on the front and back of the grip, try hockey tape. It is a dark gray cloth tape that sticks real well. It is 1" wide which is perfect. I put 2 carefully trimmed strips front and back. It matches the color of the frame on my CM9 so well that it is hard to tell it is there. You can still see the grip pattern underneath it, but the bite is gone.

My buddy uses that on his Covert with alot of luck. I have shot his and it works well. Jim

I use the Hogue Handall Jr. upside down and have zero issues. I wish there were a Pachmayr Tactical slip-on for the CM9 'cause of the palm bump, but wishin' ain't havin'.

I tried the hogue and pachmayer and both filled my hand better but I couldn't draw as fast and my shirt stuck on them. I liked the stock feel fine but was alittle rough and finally after years I finally just got a stipple job and im so glad I wish I did it years before. I dont wanna advertise but I went to weapon enhancement solutions here in jacksonville and they did a great job! They have a carry package that makes like fish scales that your clothes wont stick on and it's a perfect grip but doesn't hurt or too rough. Plus it was only like $40. I would reccomend there work, I told them to just stipple the factory stippling.

Good looking PM9 there.

I actually really like the inner tube grips as well and have no need to change. One of these days I'll post a pic of my CM9.

Very nice stipple job kja. Nice classy look.

And Cristofori, there really isn't any way you can screw it up. Besides if you do, you just cut another one until you get it right. Old bike inner tubes are pretty easy to come by.

That's really nice. I like it.

I have gorilla hands so the inverted Hogue Jr works well for me.

To get them to stay put the trick is fit them first, trim, take off and then spray the inside of the grip with 3M rubber/vinyl spray glue. Spread the glue all over the inside of the grip with your finger. Clean your finger with mineral spirits, make sure the pistol is clean as well, then slide the grip back into place. It will slide on easily with the glue inside the grip. Wipe the excess off the pistol with mineral spirits. The glue will wipe right off if you don't delay. Let sit overnight.

The grip will stay put, but eventually (about a year for me) solvent and oil will cause it to slide a little. Simply peel it off. All the glue residue on the pistol will rub right off, and as well will the dried glue inside the Hogue. Simply reinstall the same grip following the instructions in the previous paragraph.

I opted for traction grips as I have a CT laserguard on my CW 45 and didn't want to risk any cuts tearing a slip on grip. http://www.tractiongrips.com/

They're not real sticky but just enough to add some grip without increasing width much. They do get pretty sticky when warm not so much when cold. Carrying concealed is pretty stable temps. Definately would improve things if the gun got wet.

They do have a sandpaper like version if you want more grip.

Th:amflag:anks! I was suprised, I was kinda nervous letting the guy hack on my baby but it turned out better than I expected it too. I already let him install sights on my cz and any other work I need im gonna send to him. We have another more well known custom gunsmith thats right next door to him but I really like this guy. Great prices and fast turn around and he knows what he's doing so im happy. I agree on the hogue I liked it alot but it kinda got in the way if my laser even though I cut it correctly.

Bike inner tube @ Walmart just under $5.00.
Enough material to make numerous attempts if you screw the first couple up. ;)

Yep! I have one on my Keltec P-3AT (which was better than both the Pachmyr and the Hogue for pocket carry since it does not add any bulk) and just put one on my new CW45- see my thread on the range report from yesterday for a photo.

The only downside is your hand may smell like inner tube the first time you shoot it, but soap and water is cheap.

i think someone already mentioned it but an old bike tire innertube works great. doesnt add as much width to the handle and doesnt grab your clothes as much as hogues and pachymers. both of which make it better for cc. it basically just adds enough to take away the bite form the checkering on the front and back of the grip while adding grip at the same time. especially helpful when wet

Although it seems to feel better inverted - I like it a lot.

For me the very best is Talon grips in rubber style.
I found this grips very good, very thin and gives the little CM9 great purchase.
My CM9 feels now like a new gun,and when the grips wear out I will be buying again.
Before, I tried the bike inner tube but did not like the smell and the sticky feeling,so
I remove it!...Then I tried the Hogue Handall Jr. and did not like the added bulk to it.
I ask myself (Why buy a gun for concealment and add things to make it bulkier?)
The perfect answer is Talon Grips, which I learn about from HICKOK45 on YOUTUBE.

Yep, innertube is the way to go. I cut three identical grips from innertube, then layered them one on top of the other to give the grip more girth. Fills my hand better, gives me a solid grip and that helps hold 'er on target.

Here's a post I did a while back, with photos. This is with one layer of innertube:

Just checked out the link to your thread there sharpenit. Pistol Looks great, man.

I hadn't heard of anyone layering the inner tubes ... interesting idea. I can see where that would work.

Good job.

Just took my Hogue Handall JR off and put an inner tube grip on.

The tube grip is definitely the way to go for me. Feels great, and doesn't add as much bulk as the Hogue.

Got the heavy duty 40% thicker one from Wally World.

Just got my qwik grip in and installed. Haven't been to the range with it but feels so much better. Gives enough to be able to grip the gun so much more securely and no slipping around from sweaty hands. I don't feel like it adds too much width.

The first thing I did with my new P40 was to put on a Hogue Handall grip.

I talked with a lot of folks before purchasing this Kahr, and notice there were two universal positions.

Great guns.

Grips suck and have to get a cover.

Do most people agree the grips are not optimal, and if so, why doesn't Kahr produce a more comfortable grip?
