Hi, all. My name's Will and I'm a first time Kahr owner (PM9). Although I retired from the NYPD after 20 years, two years ago now, I was never really "into" guns. Until now. :)

My Ruger Police Service Six and shortly thereafter, Glock 19 served me well. But when looking for a compact, easy to conceal yet well-made 9mm, my search pretty much began and ended with Kahr.

I'm looking forward to my extended journey with my new tool for personal protection as I'm looking forward to the interactions with all of you. As the thread title states... glad to be here.

Welcome, Will. You'll find good people here and good conversation about Kahr pistols.

Now that you're "into" guns, I suspect you'll be adding more Kahr pieces to join that PM9.

Welcome to the forum, Will! :) There is a wealth of valuable information in the New Member Area (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56) and the Kahr-Tech (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27) sections of the forum. Great little carry pistol! Ideal for civilian concealed carry, IMO.

The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the linked one with the over the belt clip. It is available with j-hook, c-hook and velcro attachment method, and tuckable is an option. I have a tuckable one with velcro for if I need total concealment, but normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

I really appreciate the recommendation and I'll absolutely look into it. I'd already picked up a Comp-Tac Two O'clock for IWB but I'm really not sold on it as it tends to dig in at its base. So I'm sure to try a PJ out, thanks.

Welcome from NC. I have had my pm 9 for about a year now and love it. Over 2500 rounds through it with no problems. Also +1 on the pj holster and found the remora works well for me too. :)

Crap, now we'll have to stop telling all of those mean NYPD jokes.

Seriously, though, welcome! I think some real street experience is a great addition to this forum's value, and hope we can give you some value too.

There are a lot of LEO's on this MB. They keep me looking over my shoulder. :) There's always room for one more. Welcome aboard.
