Atlanta Public School officials confirmed to FOX 5 that there has been a shooting at Price Middle School in Atlanta.
Atlanta fire and police officials said that a 14-year-old was shot in the head and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
That student's condition was not immediately known.
A teacher suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The school is on lock down, and authorities say parents are not being allowed to pickup their children at this time.
Only school officials are being allowed on campus.

The school is located on Benjamin Weldon Bickers Drive.

I'm not sure where that particular middle school is in Atlanta but there are quite a lot of places in Atlanta now that are not nice places to go to these days. Probably not as bad as Obummers Chicago though.

That all that the police and EMS need is a bunch of frantic parents on scene. Once the situation is normalized there is plenty of time for the parents to pick up the kids.

Two things I've learned in life is never get between a momma grizzly and her cubs or any bear for that matter. The second is don't get between parents and their kids.

Many times authorities forget these important rules. The scene of course has to be cleared but those kids should be with their parents asap.

There's plenty of time for coffee and krispy kremes while the families unite.

Lord help the swat team that tries to keep my wife from her kids even though they are all growed up. Little ones would be even worse.

and if the metal detectors at the school woldhave worked, he woldnot have gotten in either and if the school did not have the fore sight to have a security guard there, it could have been worse. Nothing in these nw panic laws trying to be passed would have stopped this . Now watcvh the locals go after the parents for having a gun where the kid could get to it, and maybe rightfully so. wonder what race this kid was. Just sayin

I also would like to know where he got the gun and let law enforcement go after the parents (if there are any) or the gangbanger who sold it to him for prosecution....There is no excuse for a 14 year old to be able to obtain a loaded handgun and bring it to school....As Jocko said the school Resource Police Officer was able to get to and disarm the shooter almost immediately and secure the weapon preventing any further injuries but I'm pretty sure the media won't be reporting anything other than another school shooting...
