Just got back from the range trying out Clays in the CW9. The low load was sweet to shoot but would not lock the slide open on the last round. Next up bit harsher and only sometimes locked the slide back. Finished up with the 4 grain Bullseye. Sweet as usual. Don't know why I keep experimenting.
Well on to the Jimanez. Two guys taking turns in the next lane with a 380 that won't lock open and having a ***** of a time with the pistol. Of course I've got to put in my 2 cents. Turns out it is a Jimanez.
I know that they are inexpensive but heck, I'm sure they came with a manual (that was nor read or even brought to the range). Helped them out a bit on loading and making sure the gun was unloaded. Turns out unloading a round from the breech is darn near impossible. Anyway, I fired it and I now feel safer from people that buy this type of gun, as the bullets go everywhere but where it's aimed. What a POC.
They also had a 9 mm Jimanez. No rounds for it though (nor did they have the manual). Showed the guys the safety which also locks the slide back. I fired 5 rounds of my reloads that I know are accurate in my CW9 and CZ. Hit the backer board (not the target) about 2 feet low and to the right. Told them, nice guns then left.
