Just got back from the range and put the first 100 rounds though my new CM9. I was shooting some PPU that I picked up at Walmart the other day. The only thing to report is the slide locking back prematurely after the second shot in the first 50 rounds. Other than that it was great. I was using both the 6 round and 7 round extended mag and had no problems with either one.

Some observations:
Recoil isn't bad considering the size. However I was getting fatigued near the end. This could have been due to the fact that I put all 100 rounds down range in about 30 minutes.

The mag springs are tight! My thumb is not happy with me.

I shot better that I thought I would. This is the smallest pistol I've ever shot and I've never used the dot i style sights. I kept 90% of the shots within the #8 ring or better on the B27 target I was using. I was expecting worse.

The texture on the grip doesn't feel too bad holding the gun, but firing it is a different story. Not too bad but something to get used to.

Not sure if I like the extended round mag. It was pinching my pinky and got distracting.

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase! :D

nice report. screw that extended mag. get anutter flsh one and be done withit. It is whatit is a smallass ccw gun that willgo bangwhen needed. To me they evenlook like crap with that extended magtazine in it.

Nice report. more rounds down range and the groups will tighten up..

Get one of these Magula Uplolas magazine loaders. Your fingers will thank your for it..and it really speeds up reloading as well.

Nice report on the break in process. I did 50 in an hour period to make sure that my inexperience with such a small 9mm pistol didn't cause pain or issues.

Double on that. I haven't had my CM9 very long and realized immediately that I needed help loading the magazines. Without the Uplula I probably wouldn't shoot more than one or two magazines at the range. I can load my Beretta 85 .380 without any trouble at all, but these Kahr magazines are a real pain on the fingers/thumb. Thought I had misplaced it the other day and about paniced until I found it. Best $30 I ever spent.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm definitely going to pick one of these up.

A minimalist approach to tame the cheese graters on the front and back of the grip is two strips of hockey tape. It is cloth tape that is dark gray in color and perfectly matches the color of the frame. It sticks and stays put. And, pressed down, you can still see the pattern but it doesn't bite anymore. One has to look closely to tell there is anything on there.
