He was actually killed yesterday at 3 pm...It's all over the news here in DFW. There were supposed to have a news conference this afternoon, but not sure what time.

I'd look for video surveillance. Watch for guys in dark suits talking into their wrist.

Are you saying that Biden ordered him killed? Are you calling our vice president a murderer? Don't beat around the bush Tman, spit it out.

The guy that shot him, from all indications and of course nothing has been confirmed is that Kyle was trying to help him because he had PTSD and helping with what they call "Shooting Therapy". They got to the range about 3:15 and somebody found Kyle and his friend about 5ish...The shooter was former USMC, he was in IRR (Inactive Ready Reserve), he was not in the reserves or doing weekend duty once a month. For the Corps, not sure about other branches, once you get out of the military you still have to serve 4 years Inactive Reserve which is subject to recall. This is what he was in.
Such a terrible loss for the military, civilian world and Texas as a whole. From what we have heard Kyle was a great person and was trying to do great things for the service members who were getting out with PTSD. Prayers are with his wife, family, and friends..

This just so sad and a terrible loss to not only Kyle's family but the U.S. Military.

I shoot at a rural range. The wife got me thinking about some things and the fact that there are bad people everywhere. You just never know about people. so I've made a few practices when I go:
I get a shooting position on the end of the line (one end or the other)
I don't turn my back on the crowd
I conceal carry the whole time.
Generally there are very nice people there, mostly country folks. On 1 or 2 occasions there have been some droopy drawers guy's there. One time there was a dude that looked like he had some prison N*A*Z*I SS tattoos and he was with a black guy wearing a cowboy hat trying to sight in a rifle. Something just weird there. Kept my eye on those guy's.
If something goes down they better get me first.

I do exactly the same. I try to get and end spot. I always have one loaded gun on me. I usually have my son along who does likewise. One shoots while the other keeps watch. Nothing serious just being observant.
My powers of profiling allow me to read the other shooters and adjust accordingly. Being deaf is a real detriment but forces me to rely on what I see which is more important anyhow.
I much prefer a place in the toolies with just me and mine but thats become much more difficult.
I used to wear a vest at ranges and they are required on the dept range but no longer do that at public ranges usually.

Bawanna, even with impaired hearing, do you still wear plugs or muffs to protect whatever may be left inside your melon? I've been meaning to ask for a couple of years.

Absolutely. I put the electronic muffs on outside. I knew I had hearing loss long ago and before the now required hearing aid I used to wear muffs and plugs. The electronic muffs are the ticket, I can still wear the aid and hear talk .

good for you. I've though about the electronic muffs, but still do plugs and muffs when shooting the .44 mag. In the dove field, I have to admit, most of the time I don't even wear plugs, but never seem to suffer for it.
I had heard that even if you're deaf as a door knob and the hearing horn or even them electronic doo-dads don't do any good, there's still some stuff inside your head that can get jostled around from the percussion. Wanted to make sure you wore your rubbers when you went out in the rain:)

My right ear is totally gone. But it still hurts on loud bangs. The left works only with the aid. My riding lawn mower is typically noisy and I turn the aid off and it's like one of those Lincoln commercials, I don't hear a sound.

Not seeing a cause and effect relationship here. Some tin-foil hatters see a connection between Kyle's, Ratliff's, and Noveske's recent deaths. I fail to believe ther is any connection other than a terrible coincidence. They do happen.
