New to the forum and Khar. Just bought my first khar a P380. Cleaned and lubed
like the stickies said before I shot it. I have 100 rounds through it still getting a few failure to go into battery. Cleaned and ready for the next 100+. Very happy so far after reading about it here I expected to have to run a few hundred rounds thru it before I make it my carry pistol.

Welcome to the forum, John. I have two of those little pistols and they may require a little TLC and sometimes help from Kahr, but they are hard to beat for CCW and performance.

You might have already done a lot of this, but here's my 'helpful list::

Welcome to the Kahrtalk forum supported by Kahr Arms.
Here are a few essential links and things to do BEFORE you take your new pistol to the range, and ESPECIALLY BEFORE taking it apart and trying to re-assemble it! The Kahr is a different design… 6-7 unique patents cover the Kahrs. I’m not trying to imply that you don’t know anything about guns, but many don’t know anything about the Kahrs and some of the things you can do to damage or cause malfunctions of your new, or new-to-you Kahr pistol.
First, if you don’t have a manual, yet, or one didn’t come with your pistol, you can download the pdf file here:
http://www.kahr.com/PDF/kahrmanual.pdf
Impatient? Watch one of these videos FIRST! These videos can point out possible problem areas and emphasize correct procedures!

There are many links on fixing problems listed in several places… under the New Member or Kahr Tech sub-forums.
A very handy one is the Kahr Lube Diagram:

Many of your questions can be answered in these areas and you can learn how your Kahr works and not damage it with improper handling.
Frequently asked questions: http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp?

There are many helpful members here most of the time who might be able to help you, but as anywhere, there are many opinions and not all are correct. Be mindful of this before doing anything drastic to modify your pistol!

I carried a Walther .22LR TPH for about a decade, though I had a K9. I dress lightly down here, even in the Winter. When Kahr came out with the P380, I just had to have one. Loaded with 6+1 Buffalo Bore +P Gold Dots, as in my Avatar, I don't feel under-armed, and it weighs a few grams less than the TPH with 6+1 Stingers... but with a LOT more firepower!

The P380 is my around the house carry and I'll just have it for a quick trip to the convenience store... or a doctor appointment... where it can disappear in my paper document folder if I have to disrobe.:D

Welcome to the forum. My P380 has over 400 rounds hardball down the pipe with no issues. Love that little BUGger.

Wynn,

Could you give me a bit more info about the Buffalo Bore +P Gold Dots.
I looked on there web site and could not find the Gold Dots. Found some +P ammo. I have never shot any +P stuff before but would like to use it for the 380 for carry.

Thanks, John
