Is there another country you can go to and bring/own your guns?

Argentina allows dove hunters to bring their own guns.

Depends on how much money and political influence one has.

The problem wouldn't taking them wherever ... it would be leaving here with them.

? leaving "here" with them, or leaving "there" with them?

I was guessing that, depending on the destination (ex. the guy that thought he was legally entering Mexico with a low end, antique shotgun legally), leaving "here" may not be a problem .... but leaving "there" just might be.

You can get into Canada for hunting purposes fairly easy, providing you fill out the required papers and receive the permits prior to your trip. Hunts in Mexico tend to be a bit tougher as most places would prefer you use one of their firearms.

I'm not sure what all is involved with hunting in Africa but I do know many folks from this country hunt their with their own firearms every year.

If you are talking about non-hunting type firearms, I have no clue. I can say I had no problem with bringing non-hunting firearms AND open carry both long gun and side arm in Iraq a few years back, though. Of course, that is a whole different ballgame all together...lol

Do not try to take a gun into Mexico! It is straight to jail! We had a guy from here, Az., that was caught with one shotgun shell in the trunk of his car, no gun. They held him in jail for months. After many thousand dollars & help from John Mc Cain he was finally released.

I figure a couple more years there won't be anybody left in Mexico. Then maybe it will be ok.

Slip down clean the place up some and secure the borders and start over again.

Watch it there... I'm an immigrant to LA. I do agree though.

When we in LA want to go into the wilderness, we go to Mississippi. Guns welcome there though but that is the back woods. Think Buford T. Justus from Smoky and the Bandit.

This is only a problem if you're "innocent", don't have money, and don't understand the not rules.

There's nothing wrong with Mexico. It's a great place to visit and live if you're self sufficient, don't need an on the local economy job, and aren't freaked out over a bit of productive/useful corruption.

In the US, cops now arrest cops for dui and even give brother officers speeding tickets. Can't even beat your wife no more down south with a badge.

I've read that guns are illegal in Mexico. That explains why the murder rate is double ours.

Some countries, if you have residency you can bring in a firearm.
