Has been a nice day today here in TN so thought I would go check out a few local gun shops. I have added another fire arm to my collection. I just bought a New Stoeger Cougar 8000F 9MM pistol and two New 15 round mags for $350 cash. I then said to myself hell lets go to the range and check this baby out. I have got to say out of all the pistols I have ever owned in my life time this is one of the very best I have fired and have seen designed. I was highly impressed with this pistol. I did not have any issues at all with the gun out of 200 rounds fired. It is truly a beautiful gun and for the money hell could not pass it up. Yeah Baby !

hummm, I noticed that just about all the pistols on the list are full sized or nearly so. I wonder what their criteria for 'best" is. Generally speaking a large gun is going to be more reliable because it's a lot harder to design a small one, but the downside is they're harder to carry. IMO, they're all way to big for a 9mm.

from Memphis by chance? i was at Range USA in Bartlett Tn. ran 100 rounds thru my CW9 no hiccups at all. total is 150 rnds, 50 more to finish breakend.
shot 100 reloads from gun range and 50 cci blazer aluminum no failures at all. still getting use to small frame, put a handall jr. which helped. loving it so far, more accurate with blaze ammo over the junk from the range.

The rules: The guns must be great shooters, reliable, good quality, and cost less than $650 USD (http://www.best9mm.com/why500.html) new from a gun dealer.
We didn't do a "best list" because your personal requirements for a concealed carry pistol will not always be the same as ours.
The rules for the 9mm CCW list: Weigh 30 ounces or less, barrel 4.1 inches or shorter, and cost less than $600 from a dealer.
