I bought a PM9 recently and will be applying for my CCL in a week. So I have about 3 months to decide on an iwb holster.

I hear a lot of good thjngs about the crossbreed style with 2 clips and think I may be leaning towards that style. But I fear that large of surface space on a holster may be hot in the summer time.

Here are my thoughts:

Crossbreed (2 clips) - more stable hold on the gun, won't slip as much with two clips. I fear it may feel hot or bulky.

Single clip style- easier to put on/off, less surface area to get hot. But may slip forward or backward angle?

Any input?

jeffk, appreciate the recommendation but what is you thoughts on the single clip type vs double clip?

I have single clip and double clip depending on what I am wearing. I like the "tuckable" models.
I have tried the Crossbreed's and prefer all leather, for me they conform better to your body for thinner profile. Mine are from Bruce @ www.northstarholsters.com (http://www.northstarholsters.com)

This is a record for jfootin not having shown up and recommending a PJ Holster, he must be sleeping in today :P

I had a theis 2 clip (crossbreed style) and I liked how secure it fit but it is a lot of holster for a small gun. A single clip that will keep the pistol from rolling/canting when you do not want it to is definitely enough for a pistol the size of the kahr. I guess it sort of depends on your body shape too, a larger person can carry a larger holster for comfort easier than a smaller person sometimes. I do like the dual clip but I am not using a single clip Harwell clip and go and it's working well so far.

I also have a PJ holster and remora (that I don't use often). I would recommend Silent Thunder if you have a fat wallet.

I agree with what others have said, I had a Theis (Crossbreed style) for my LC9 and liked it, but then I got a Foxx Trapp for my P9. I'll never go back for a small light gun.

I switched from a Crossbreed style holster to a N82 Tactical Professional holster for my CM9. Much more comfortable.

Who makes the top one, I don't see it on the website you posted?

Excellent holster. I use this type for my full size guns. But way too much holster for my PM9.

Just the ticket for my PM9. My favorites in this category are PJ, Hume, and Rosen CLP. Of the three, the PJ is the most compact and the one I use most often.

I also have a PM9 and have to say + 1 on both the PJ holsters and the Remora. Also would recommend a Mica pocket holster as well.

The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the linked one with the over the belt clip. It is available with j-hook, c-hook and velcro attachment method, and tuckable is an option. I have a tuckable one with velcro for if I need total concealment, but normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

Thanks guys. Glad I checked in on here. I believe I am now leaning away from the crossbreed style.

Now to decide on kydex or leather.

+1 on the pj holster. I use the in-the-waistband appendix carry with a straight drop. Very light, comfortable and adds very little girth to the pistol itself. Once you try one, you'll think everything else is unnecessarily bulky and heavy.

i don't think you need a 2 clip holster for this small gun. I certainly don't. I have a PJ holster but the problem there is wait time. Upwards of 6-7 weeks i think. Its a nice holster thou. You can also try Foxx holsters or Harwell holsters. I have those too and they work nicely.

if you want something beautiful, look at beercreekholsters.com but the wait times there are long too.

Another strong recommendation for the Kusiak holster. Nice retention, no problem drawing. Best of all, I like the feel of the holster as compared to the highly recommended one from PJ that is made out of kydex. I know that it is a personal thing, but I carry at 2 o'clock and the leather doesn't seem to chaff my skin. I placed the order on Tuesday and received the holsters on the next Monday. He makes the holsters himself and guarantees satisfaction. Price is just $35 or $45 with a built-in mag holder. Here is a link to their site: Kusiak Leather (http://www.kusiakleather.com/) Pictures follow. The last one shows my CM9 with my bride's Bodyguard 380.

The best holster depends on how you plan on carrying. I carry AIWB. I use Mitch Rosen clippers. I buy mine from Kahr. Same price and has a better color. PJ holsters are also a real bargain. I have both a PJ and a Ramora but I personally prefer leather. Different folks prefer different holsters. You may have to try several before you find one you really love.

I have a minimal clip on order from side guard for appendix carry but I have been using a single clip Harwell for appendix or at 3 oclock. I sort of feel like I like the stability of the dual clip slightly better, I also think the one long piece of leather made it feel like less of a lump in my pants :)

I never found a need for dual clips, even w/ my TP9. My Comp-Tac Infidel carried either my P9 or TP9 w/ ease, never had to do any repositioning or fiddling whatsoever. That being said, I now believe in NO CLIPS. I've switched to a Remora for both my Kahrs and my Sig P250 compact...and the P250 isn't exactly small or light.

I have a Crossbreed on order for my PM9 and it should be here shortly. In the meantime, I picked up a Comp-Tac Two-O'clock which I'm really not sold on. It digs in right where I hoped it would not, at the base.

So just due to price and with exceedingly low expectations, I took a flyer on a Remora. Love it, particularly with sweat-pants. I just can't believe how comfortable and secure it is.

I'll second and third a couple of these other guys and tell you to check out Remora. I was skeptical at best at first, but it quickly found its way into my rotation of carry holsters

+1 for Remora, but I use Sticky Holster. Sticky is a both thinner. Either way, I have a tacky holster for every conceal gun I have.

+1...a great holster for the CM/PM9. Also have the PJHolster, but the Kusiak gets more use. Both are great choices! :D

I started with a Remora for IWB carry, but it adds so much thickness to the package, compared to the PJ Holster. And I can use the PJ with running shorts, secured only by the waistband tie.

I now use my Remora for a car holster. I jam it between the seat and the transmission hump in my Mini. It sticks there securely and keeps my CM9 where I want it to be when I reach for it.
