Usually I break-in new guns with factory ammo, but in these Obama days, not possible. Reloads only.
After reading disassembly, prying with screwdriver under slide stop, I decided to use my own instinct, based on 1911's and Glocks. Aligned marks, and using soft rag on extended table, popped pin to neutral to lock slide and final push threw with a chop stick (thanks to another member).
I always make production guns more semi-custom in operation, by polishing ramp and inside chamber. This is especially important on small action autos.
Broke my golden rule with mag break-in, and loaded to full capacity (when new, forces nose dive), only because both 6 and the notorious 7 rd. demon seemed to have a soft spring.
Performance: Flawless. Not one issue! I think I have a Kahr keeper!

Congrats! Welcome to the forum. The take down videos are really something everyone needs to watch. Spring orientation and putting the slide lock pin in are not "natural" or instinctive. You need to understand what they do and what YOU are doing!:)

Great to hear! I now have 600 rounds through mine and it is just like the Energizer bunny....... it just keeps going! I spent be afternoon on the range with my CM9 and quite a few other guns and I keep getting g more and more comfortable with mine. We were shooting 8.5x11 steel plates at 40+ feet and ringing it almost every time. It is the best shooting little gun I have ever owned. I seriously hope you enjoy yours as much as I like mine.

The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the linked one with the over the belt clip. It is available with j-hook, c-hook and velcro attachment method, and tuckable is an option. I have a tuckable one with velcro for if I need total concealment, but normally wear the above under a loose shirt.
