Has anyone shot plus-p ammo out of their cw 45. I can get fed 230gr plus-p in SD ammo but would like to know how it shoots in the CW 45 before buying 50 rounds.

I shot a fair amount ofHornady TAP +P ammo from both my P45 and TP45. It functions as any other ammo except the recoil was noticably more severe. I found it often times broke my grip, but that's me. You may have a better grip than I.

Other ammo I liked was Hornady 200gr, 230 Gold Dot and for practice I found Blazer Brass to be very consistent and accurate.

I shot a box of Golden Sabre 185gr +P, and had to get a new recoil spring for it to run right. The gun would jam on almost every round before changing springs. After installing the new spring it ran fine. The gun had only had about 800 rounds through it, not sure why the recoil spring needed replaced, but once it was, the gun ran fine.
