I'm just curious ... if you were going to dress up your Kahr, which way would you go?

I like the polished look better myself.

Many, many, many around here are into the black.
Me, I'm into shiney or somewhere between. I just like natural stainless so any damage or modification doesn't require a refinish job.

I like the black but that polished looks good.

For practical--black. For appearance-- polished. I voted "black" only because if I had that gun, it would be for concealed carry, and the less 'attractive', the better. (Black doesn't 'flash' inside a jacket). But, regarding the polished S/S, to paraphrase, 'I don't care who ya are, that thar's purty'. :)

a true politician. say no evil, do no evil:Amflag2: It could be yes and it could be no. I am not sayin I am right but I am not saying I am wrong. Or I will look into that when I get back to Washington. I will conduct a survey and get back to you. That cup could be half full or it could be half empth.

Let me be perfectly clear. I like shiny! And I'm innocent of all charges. I did not have a relationship with that woman.

I'd go with black for CC i guess. I like the melonite finish on my M&P, black over stainless steel.

Black not because its prettier but for CC. For pretty, go shiny.

My Kahr is polished.
But some of my recent items are FDE - which is also the predominant summertime color where I live.

I think the black Kahrs look cool. But I love my plain old stainless look on my K9 and T9.

For fancy, has to be shiny. For carry is a different question. If it's shining, it's pimpin.

I voted black. Only because I'm not a fan of stainless slides on black frames. I'm actually going to have my CM9 cerakoted this summer to look exactly like the picture above. I just prefer matching, for some reason, and I like my CCW's to be black. The way our Kahrs come with stainless slides has really grown on me though, I used to not like black and stainless mixed at all.
The polished gun, however....does nothing at all for me. For a "limited edition" or something that will spend a lot of time in the safe, maybe. For a carry weapon, heck no

I love black pistols. Boring maybe, but I prefer them. That said, my PM9 has the stainless slide and I like it just fine. While the polished slide looks really cool, it's a bit too much bling for me. ;)

The polished guns do nothing for me. To me, real guns are a deep blue like the older Smiths. That being said, the look of the Kahr is improved when left alone or Cerakoted, preferably black, but some of the dark browns and greens are starting to grow on me. Anything but polished to a bright shine.

Quoted because I should've said this for myself. Thinking of getting the slide on one of my Glocks done in OD green.

I'm the tie breaker. 11 black to 10 polished. Both look great but the black with sliver accents looks awesome.
I voted black, that's why I bought my PM9...available in black.
I don't care for a shiny finish on a CCW, reflects light just when you might not want it to. ;) Might be OK for a pimp gun though. :D

Excuse me, but I'm confused. If it's a concealed carry gun who's going to see it? I mean yeah, like maybe a perp, but only for that brief second before the flash. I like my concealed carry guns unadorned. Down and dirty is my name and shootin's my game.

That's the sad part right there. We have all these beautiful guns and holsters etc that we dare not show.
I like looking at my own guns, and I like them to look good.
I think they had it good in the old west, except only the gun fighters had fancy stuff, the rest used their Colts to pound nails etc.
Different times for sure.

For Black ...
$145 to replace with a new PM9 Black slide from Kahr.
$50 to ceracoat from http://helixgunsmith.com/
For Polished ...
According to JFootin ... about $150-$200 to have it professionally done.

With a Colt ??? Sacrilege!
You may just have come up with the first gun-related activity that I would be in favor of prohibiting by law.
No - skip the law. Stupidity should be punishment enough!

My PM9 is black, but either is fine. I have several bare stainless pistols too.
