OK after you clean the inside of the barrell with solvent and a brass brush, and then some cotton patches to get it dry and clean..
Do you take a patch and put a light coat of oil on the inside of the barrell?

Really light coat of oil. After running the last oil patch through, I run a clean one through once to get the excess. Remember, less is more on all the surfaces. Excess oil and grease just attracts dust and dirt.

I do, if the gun isn't going into long term storage. If it is I use RIG gun grease in the bore.
make your last patch coated with CLP, and you'll Clean Lube and Protect all in one.
seriously... I use Hoppes #9 Bench Rest, and a CLP patch at the end (and for general exterior wipe down)
