I'm thinking about ordering either the Foxx mini or the Foxx trapp for my CM40, but their list doesn't mention the CM/PM 40.
Is the size difference between the 9 and the 40 negligible enough that it will fit both, or am I just outta luck as far as Foxx is concerned?

I bought a Stoner holster for a MK40 and it fit my CM9 well. I would assume it would be ok. YMMV

They are so close - just a hair difference in width and length, that it most probably doesn't matter. If no one from here with a 40 chimes in, ask Foxx.

Raymond at Foxx will respond quickly if you ask. He is making me a special order Trapp for my M&P9c. Good guy.

I don't have a .40 to test, and that could be the case as to why Ray doesn't list holsters for the .40 no real or blue guns to use as a mold or check the fit. If you don't wear a T-shirt under your holster I would get the Trapp. I originally got one of his hybrid holsters with black leather and the back side was way to rough/scratchy for me. Ray took it back without a problem and offered a refund, but I took a trade for a Trapp instead and couldn't be happier. If you do get a leather holster, I would get natural leather so the rough bits will be softer and not as scratchy.

So I heard back from Raymond...
The size difference is enough that the CM40 will not fit in the CM9 holster and they do not make one that fits the CM40.
Bummed... :(
I realize the PJ holster and the Trapp are pretty much the same, but I liked the option of changing the cant on the Trapp.

Raymond agreed to make me a Trapp for my M&P9c from a blue gun. He won't usually use a blue gun to make a holster. He said that I may have to work with him on adjustments when I get it. I am ok with that! Ask him if he will do it for the PM40. The adjustments might even be able to compensate for the difference between the 9 and 40. He has a video to help with the adjustments. Mine will be here today or tomorrow!

Cant is something you are going to set and forget. If you don't know how much cant you want yet, get a real cheap holster with adjustable cant such as the DeSantis Sof-Tuck and figure out what cant you want. Then order the PJ that way.
Also, you can use a heat gun or hair dryer to adjust the cant on a PJ holster. Just soften the bend at the top and change the angle.
