Our two new CW40s (225 rounds each) still would not manually eject unfired rounds without the ejecting round jamming. When actually shooting, neither pistol had a problem with ejecting fired brass. Both were prepped as described in the new owner sticky and lubed per the diagram. I just wanted to be able to reliably manually advance a new round in the event of a misfire.
Since I'm a newbie and can't attach pics yet, here's a verbal description of the fix.
Each barrel shroud (top of barrel, extreme rear, right) had a very small burr left over from machining. It turned out to be just enough to catch the ejected round and jam, although the round bounced back from the burr enough to hide the problem. Since our two pistols are not consecutively serial numbered, this may be a common issue. Polishing with a dremel polishing wheel did not remove the burr and emery paper just tore.
So I used a dremel grinding wheel at slow speed to de-burr and followed up with polishing.
Now both pistols smoothly hand rack and eject live rounds with unmodified (but cleaned) 6 and 7 round magazines. I hand rack using the weak hand over the top of the slide rather than the sling shot method.
