I couldn't pick one. At best it would be five or six, but even that would be difficult. I've spent over forty-five years getting my collection where I want it.

A 3rd Model Match Target like that holds a special place in my toy box too. I need to sort it out, the striker isn't resetting for some reason. Feeds and ejects fine just doesn't reset the striker.
Probably a spring.
Sure feels good in the hand.
Since I got rid of most of my collection, 16 years ago, I had 21 longguns and 47 handguns. I ONLY keep, guns I really really really like ! If they're not something that I like everything about, it's gone. At my age, guns are like wifes, if there's something I don't like about them.... they're GONE !;)

My Dan Wesson .357 Pistol Pack. One Frame, 4 barrels, 8, 6, 4 and 2 inch. 2 handles, a "cowboy" grip, and a finger groove grip, both wood. I can't access my picture file right now or I'd post one. The server is down or something.

Guns are like Girls.
I can't have just one.
And the one I have my hands on at the time? Is my favorite.

OK ... so ... being a newbie ... I need to ask a question. When do you technically own a gun? Do I own it if you've paid for it ... but you can't collect it from the gun store because you don't have your permit yet? Or must you actually have it in your grubby little hands before you can answer this thread? Just asking ...
When the yellow sheet (and whatever equivalent required state paper) is signed by you and the seller.
Cold custom LW 1911 Officers ACP I built for myself 20 years or so ago.

Hands down my Winchester Model 94 (1952) in .32 Winchester Special. My mom bought it brand new at the ripe old age of 17 in order to hunt with her dad. I had always loved that fine firearm growing up and she ended up giving it to me when I turned 21.
I'll be passing it on to my neice when she turns 21, in ten short years, providing she stays on the path she's on. She LOVES to go out hunting and fishing and I might in toss in a pink camo soft case in the deal!

In your heart and soul it's already yours and that's good enough for me.
I can't imagine you tolerating a state where you have to get permission and blessing to even buy the gun. That to me is clear infringement with a capital, umm sound it out bawanna. Umm..I i i I thats it, captal I.
Do you hold your hand out the window of your house with one or two finger held up to get gubmint permission to go potty?

Cabela's in Buda (south of Austin) is showing that they have one, but it says nothing about the wood case - only the "carton" (box):

No, that would be the sound of a .45 going off. The boolit is soooo slooowwww that they'll have time to process the crack before it hits them. Unless of course they jump out of the way, but still more scary than the shotgun that hasn't been fired.
[Did he just make a crack about .45s ... yea, he did]

I gotta say mine is still my TP9. But it's only a year old. I agree w/ Dirt Doc, it seems to be a more frequent purchase vs one I've had for years and years. I have a Magnum Research .22 on the way, I expect it'll be my favorite next week :-)

All of them, or I do not own them. If it does not blow my dress up, then it goes. Yes Virginia, that is a bit of a change from some of what I have said. Though recently I have winnowed down some of my ah investments. No longer will I buy own unless it does something for me.

Favorites:
Handguns - it's got to be either a CZ75 PCR or CZ75 Stainless. I would like to say the Kahr K9, but I can't.
Long guns - I've really like my 30 year-old Kimber of Oregon Model 82. Sweet. However, if you've never tried match grade airguns before, you owe yourself to try one. The Feinwerkbau P70FT is an example of the breed. At 50 yards, it can place 10 shots into a single hole smaller than a dime. It's more accurate than most 22 rifles and a lot more fun.
no favorites... except to say it would be the one I'm carrying or shooting at any given moment. I really like 'em all the same. If I don't like 'em... they're history

A lot of posters didn't seem to realize that this is a PICTURE THREAD. My favorite gun that I currently own is my Custom Mirror Polished CM9 (http://s1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee486/John_England/My%20Custom%20CM9/).
http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee486/John_England/My%20Custom%20CM9/KahrCM9PolishedLSwMagandBullets.jpg
But very close in my heart and my slight favorite for carry is my Customized S&W 638 Airweight with an incredible 4.25 lb DA trigger pull. It has also been ported, had the frame lowered a little bit for better access to the shielded hammer, Duracoated Gloss Black and fitted with a Hogue Bantam one piece rubber grip which is perfect for it.

Dang! My PM45 was my dream pistol... since they don't make a K45, but the one I carry the most... the one at my side right now... is my first P380... with factory Trijicon Night Sights. I wear it around the house all day long and sometimes for quick trips to the closer stores... convenience stores... usually for lottery ticket purchases... er, investments! I don't go outside without it on my waist... in an old Uncle Mike's Sidekick holster tucked into my shorts.
My Mag-na-ported P40 has become my EDC for leaving the house. Now I have a second ported .40... my Glock 23C, but it's too large to CC with my usual shorts down here in NE Florida!
Really, it's the one in my avatar picture... my trusty P380!

Since turning 21 in 1970, I've owned a wide variety of handguns. Most were either sold or traded away, and then a couple of divorces caused the remainder to disappear.
After re-establishing a somewhat meager collection of "Shooters" (I don't collect in the strict sense), I've got a core of guns which probably wouldn't get traded or sold regardless of the circumstances.
BUT.............
There are four handguns which are prized possessions, and will NEVER be someone else's guns!
