Anyone using the sure fire free shot timer on the iPhone for practice shooting?
Is it any good?

I have it. I've only used it a couple times - it works.

What does it do besides analyze the speed of your shots? does it react to the sound?

Yes, and you can adjust the sensitivity if you're at a range with other shooters.

I've seen guys trying to run them at local USPSA matches, and they get mixed up from the shots fired on the adjacent bays. But if it works in practice, it's way cheaper than a real shot timer, like a Pocket Pro, CED7000 or the RUREADY at $120 to $140.

Just downloaded a free IPSC shot timer, lets see if it works, next USPSA match this Saturday.
