Picked up a new CM9 today, and found this little dent when breaking down the pistol for initial cleaning. With the rest of the slide looking so meticulously well machined, I can't imaging this is normal:

That's "normal" in that some random dings like that occur in the handling of parts during manufacture. IF it seems to drag or cause problems, you can use a whetstone or very fine sandpaper on a FLAT surface to straighten any rise, but it shouldn't cause you any problems.

Thanks. It doesn't look like it would cause any problems, just thought I'd ask.

I'm just thankful that you didn't ask about the notch in the frame guide rail at the front. :)

Send the pictures to Kahr and see what they have to say. To me it's a defect that should have been caught during inspection.

The gun is actually back at the factory right now. When I got it cleaned and back together I noticed part of the frame behind the ejector was bent and emailed pictures of both areas to Kahr. They sent a shipping label right away. Kinda bummed, but confident they will take care of it. Just hoping for an update soon.

Tiny internal imperfections are not enough to "cull" the pistol, but external ones or those that cause malfunctions, should be corrected. My first thought was the two machined dimples were your concern... and , but that tiny ding was hidden and probably wouldn't affect function... I would have stoned it a bit just to remove any bump. The other thing, though, Kahr will take care of it. Good pictures really help.

The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the linked one with the over the belt clip. It is available with j-hook, c-hook and velcro attachment method, and tuckable is an option. I have a tuckable one with velcro for if I need total concealment, but normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

Yes, I have some of his stuff already. I've had an order for the CM9 holster since mid-January. Just playing the waiting game!

It's worth the wait! :) I don't know how well the PJs work for larger guns. But with my CM9 riding at about 8:30 (lefty), it literally gets to where I cannot tell it is there whether I am standing, seated or moving around. I wore it all day a couple of days ago. I have laid down and taken a nap while forgetting to remove it. Even laid on that side wirhout noticing it there. I think that gun and holster approach perfection for comfortable carry.
