Just an FYI: If you have been getting lax on emailing and calling your representatives and you live in Ohio it's time to step it up and do your duty!!

The guns that are deemed assault weapons will leave you scratching your head...... Nahh actually I am not surprised that they are that stupid!
The text of the bill is here and basically says any semi auto firearm capable of holding ten or more rounds is an assault weapon.

It won't fly in Ohio. Republicans control the house by a two to one margin and our Governor is a republican. It won't hurt to send a letter.

Ah, the beauty of representative government at work at the state level. Same thing here in VA. Popular vote for presidential elections skewed by NOVA, Richmond, and Norfolk. Cess-pools of liberal voting. State as a whole however is solidly conservative and so reflected in the state legislative bodies.

The fools who voted for Obama don't vote in the Ohio House. Only the elected representatives get to vote on proposed gun legislation in Ohio. My representative has an A+ rating from the NRA.

Hopefully it won't pass. However they have taken a divide an conquer strategy that is obviouys. What they cannot get nationally they will try, with some success locally. It is what it is.

It's no surprise at all and it's a safe bet that the majority of states will see similar legislation introduced by the LibDem politicians in said states, doesn't mean they necessarily stand a snow balls chance of passing.

Here in OK conservatives hold sway in both houses and the governors office so idiot bills won't even get committee assignment and will die quickly.
