Purely hypothetical......If one were to show up at a shooting range with targets that were homemade and had a strong resemblence to Obama, do you think they would get picked up by the Secret Service?

I doubt it, but it would be in poor taste nonetheless. A juvenile thing to do IMHO. The object of practice is to hone your skill, not vent your frustrations.

Agree. Nothing to prove, and IMHO shows the shooters immaturity;)

It would certainly draw unwanted attention to the person who did.

I don't see why you can't vent frustrations, and hone your skills all at the same time. I've done it plenty. I don't put a picture on the target, but use my imagination. That avoids any extra attention you might get from a target with a picture on it. Those Osama targets were pretty good, easy to imagine a different face on it. :)

Yes...we would come talk to you if it was reported.

I agree that it's immature. It also gives anti gun people a poor image of gun owners. However, where I live no one would care.

Yes...we would come talk to you if it was reported.

Am I to take that to mean that you are in the Secret Service? If so, thank you for your service to our country and the information.

You would be asked to remove your target at the range I attend and if an angry response, likely asked to leave.

There's some things that are simply inappropriate. You can take your pick of target possibilities, president, current or former (Reagan, Obamma); religious leaders (pick a faith), etc. If one is okay they all are okay.

I grew up going to Catholic schools so we prayed in school a lot. Yet would I want my child to attend a school that rotated prayers daily between Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Devil, Mother Earth, the sun, etc.? No, that's why I privately opposed school prayer - the ONLY reason. If one was okay they all have to be okay.
