I bought a used cm9 from my local gun shop this month. Love the cm9, but had some issues with the additional magazines I purchased for it. First trip to the range and the followers broke on both the 6, and 7 round mags. I emailed Kahr today and explained my problem and they are sending out some replacement followers to me. Love the prompt response and awesome customer service. I hope that the follower breakage is not a common problem. It is just strange that they broke in the exact same place. Anyway, just thought I would throw in my two cents before our President gets rid of the penny! :D

Keep an eye on the new followers. I suspect something may be up with the gun and needs some work done. If another follower breaks, especially in or near the same spot, the likelihood increases. But don't worry, lots of good help here, free of charge.

Welcome to the forum, 5pattys! :) There is a wealth of valuable information in the New Member Area (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56) and the Kahr-Tech (http://kahrtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27) sections of the forum.

And welcome to the CM9 Owners Club! :D Our official symbol is the wide grin smily because we are so happy with our purchase that we can't wipe the smiles off our faces!

We have found that the split followers are usually caused by just a little extra metal on the bottom of the feed ramp hitting the follower during recoil of the last round. If it looks like that is what is happening with yours, work a little off with a file. Just don't overdo it.

The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the linked one with the over the belt clip. It is available with j-hook, c-hook and velcro attachment method, and tuckable is an option. I have a tuckable one with velcro for if I need total concealment, but normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

Thank you JFootin for the sage advice. I will look into the feed ramp issue. Also the holster, have been looking and not finding too many options.

How did the follower break? Or more correctly what broke on the follower?

Could it have been someone heavy handing the slide stop not knowing that it is nearly impossible to drop the slide with the slide stop on an empty mag and this is on purpose?

That's really something. I keep reading about all these broken followers but people keep saying its not a common problem? I think somebody's in denial.
