I picked up a brand new CM9 today at Collector's Firearms here in Houston. Took her down to Best Shot Range in Friendswood, stripped, cleaned, and lubed her, and put 250 rounds down range.
200 rounds of Magtech 115gr FMJ. Flawless. Around round 70 it was becoming less fun and more of a chore. It is certainly a lot snappier and a lot less fun to shoot than my K9 Elite. The backstrap is fairly aggressive and after 200 rounds my palm was definitely very sore. Somewhere around round 120 I started shooting left hand for a few magazines in a row and switching back and forth between left and right hand. In any case the full metal jackets fed, shot and ejected flawlessly. No issues.
Then I decided to press my luck and shoot 50 Remington Golden Saber + P 124 grain. I had 1 FTF and 1 FTE. By this time my hand was so sore I'm not really sure if I was holding the gun as firmly or what.
Overall I am very happy. I wish I had not had the 2 failures, but honestly I was just blasting away, just kindasorta aiming, my palm was killing me, and I was happy to be done breaking in!
I will try to get 100 Golden Sabers thru with no issues before I call it good. Or may I need to switch to Gold Dots. But, the damn thing works and after reading so many horror stories I am glad I got a keeper!

Wow! That is a lot of shooting for one day! I am sure you are very sore! Did Collectors Firearms give you a decent deal on the gun? They have been very hit or miss with me but they usually have a big selection.

I paid $459 for it, new in box. Before the current craze I came close to buying one at Best Shot for $399. Looking on gunbroker and every other site I could find it seemed about right for the current market. I was actually surprised to find one in stock. ...Plus I was looking for instant gratification. :-)

But yes, selection is typically excellent; price is typically not very excellent.

The CM9's exhibit a definite "Break-in" phenomenon. Perhaps your's will feed the Golden Saber's after you've shot it some more. Mine does well with Federal 124's. When brand new, it didn't like my mild cast reloads. After a coupla hundred jacketed rounds however...it takes those cast rounds just fine.
If you're going to do 200+ rd. range days....cut yourself a piece of bicycle innertube and slip it over the grip. :)

That's a lot of shooting in one session! I have a Qwik Grip Size 3 (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1150&CAT=84) on my CM9 to tame the cheese grater texture and help tame the recoil. A minimalist approach to just tame the cheese graters is 2 strips of hockey tape on the front and back of the grip.
The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the linked one with the over the belt clip. It is available with j-hook, c-hook and velcro attachment method, and tuckable is an option. I have a tuckable one with velcro for if I need total concealment, but normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

most horror stories are put out by whores to. so u just gotta trust ur judgement and the company behind the product. If u have issues,Kahr will fix um. Most survers show the 124 gold dots are the round of choice for 9mm owners so ur notgonna go wrong with that choice for sure..:Amflag2: that is alot of rounds at one outting with such a small framed lighweight gun. No doubt after a100+ rounds shooter gets tired and doesn't know it also and then things happen. Just back off for 15 minutes and go atit again if u nee dto shoot it alot. the 9's in kahrs are really not snappy IMO course after 200+ ropunds at one outting, it might indeed feel that way:Amflag2:
