"....gun contol is people control...it sprouts from racist soil..."
if you are on the fence about supporting the NRA, what excuse is there now?

Anyone wondering why this hasn't hit any media outlets?
Oh wait, I just remembered, I don't live in America anymore.

I was glad to see them sign Colion Noir to their news bits. (hint look up his youtube channel). Say what you will about the NRA, but LaPierre is not the kind of front man we need, and uncle Ted is more than a little over the top for the fence sitters. I see these as good moves, plus they show that the NRA isn't just a bunch of Old Fat White Guys (OFWG) anymore.

oh fear not u won't ever see that video anywhere except on Fox news Why would any news media station want to let common sense people, black and white see this. It defeats their agenda to disarm ALL.

Why all the worship of the mainstream media and the wish to offer sacrifices at their altar? Their fifteen minutes of fame ended years ago. WE are the media. I'm posting the video on Facebook for my liberal friends to see, and to ignore at their peril.

Before getting too excited though, that's not what the NRA says is the reason for their founding.

We know this, either way it is irrelevant, look what I said about the NRA not just being a bunch of OFWG's is the real meat of this. This shows that the NRA is reaching out to younger crowd and more liberally minded. It starts to show that this isn't just a conservative/liberal thing, and right now that is exactly what we need.

The founding of the NRA. The NRA protects our 2A rights regardless of race color or creed. The NRA didn't become involved in 2A issues until 1934. The NRA was not organized to protect blacks from the KKK though protecting our 2A rights may have had that effect.

Wayne LaPierre has fought to protect your 2A rights for far longer than anyone else. When you bad mouth LaPierre you're talking out of your rectal orifice.

Well who would you recommend then? By your own statment Ted is not an viable candidate.
Frederick Douglass once said something about the ballot box, jury box, and the cartridge box.

Great Video, but it ain't true. Maybe that's why you won't hear it from the liberal media.
See my previous post. The NRA was not formed to protect blacks from the KKK.

That was not the primary purpose but an unintended consequence of its formation.

I would say put Colion Noir, or better yet Jesse Duff out there. LaPierre has the data, and the facts on his side, but cannot appeal to the fence straddlers, nor keep from tripping over himself when addressing anyone but the choir. I never said he should go, just not be the front man. The libs have emotion and the young folks on their side. If we want to sway these fence sitters, they need to be engaged, and frankly LaPierre does that not so much. Yes Muggsy, I'm looking at you too. LaPierre his done many things in his tenure, including learning the lesson that playing ball and "compromising" is a non-starter, great for him. Let him keep doing what he does well, and that is engaging the congress critters behind the scenes, and let someone else tear the media up. That is what I was getting at.
OBTW, the book Unintended Consequences, great read.

It doesn't matter if you are black, white, blue, brown or purple, when you lose your freedom, it's gone and that is what this is all about! gun CONTROL -CONTROL-CONTROL.
These bozos are determined to CONTROL and until they take our guns they can't. We are all in this together - let's stand together.

Wayne LaPierre equates himself quite well in front of the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives. And, many of the members of the House and Senate aren't members of the choir. Anyone from the NRA is free to confront the media. Maybe you should volunteer. You'd find out just how easy it is to do on camera with a few million viewers watching and the media editing your every word. Credit where credit is due. That's all I'm saying.

Have you seen him speak, or testify? He starts to stammer, and trip over his words. You can see the passion, but it comes out short. Don't even get me started on the monotone. He could use some inflection. I understand that the media wants to crucify "crazy Wayne", but animation would help. I still say LaPierre should stick to the things he does better, and let some one else be the front man. I never said he wasn't an ardent defender of rights, just that he is not the one to be in the public eye. Let's put this another way, if this were about anything else, would you put the guy that while impassioned, is not such a great speaker in front, the guy who is WAY over the top at times, and just as passionate but that tends to shoot himself in the foot, or the guy/girl that is well spoken, articulate, and just as passionate out front?

The biggest hurdle for the front man is keeping his cool and not letting the morons get him riled up and agitated.
I could not do it. Security would be hauling me out of the building after I crawled over the desk and had Feinsteins throat in my hands. Or any of the other.
They have some guys that are very cool under pressure and don't get fired up. They also are very good at having facts to back up their statements rather than just firing off made up garbage like the anti's always seem to come up with.
I have to go hang out with Scoundrel now, I'm getting over heated again.

I wouldn't call it an unintended consequence, more of an unanticipated benefit to the blacks. I guess it depends on your point of view.

With friends like you Wayne needs no enemies. I guess that the voting membership sees Wayne a bit differently than you do. They keep re-electing him to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the NRA. He has been keeping a gun in your hand since 1991. Try showing some appreciation.
