Is that a Taurus? If so how do you like it? I looked at on at the LGS and it looked pretty nice.
No, looks more like a Spyderco.

I thought I had at least heard of most guns but that is a new one to me, I have never even heard of that company.

a very nice and very expensive gun. nuttin lighter. read up on them thoguh they are very ammo sensitive, I think rohrbaugh even tells u what brand sto shoot. Recoils spring changes are talekd aobut at around 200 rounds, so have some around. this is a gun that is stricly ccw, not a real range gun. quality made but again so small and so light, just not a pleasant gun to shoot ALOT. Someday for some stupid reason I might own one myself,I just never see one arund here period. Normally a grand won't buy one today either,so I hope u did wellwith the buy part to..

The $1000+ dollar price tag is probably why I have never seen or heard of one around here.

Yes its the Rohrbaugh R9S. I found it on Gunbroker with a buy it now for $1000 with holster. The best part it was local so I called the guy. He said he put 10 rounds through it and decided he didn't love it and put it in his safe.
As Jocko said, it is a very specialized gun as it is not a gun that is meant to be shot often. The spring must be changed every 150 rounds but they are cheap at $5.99 each. I haven't shot it as of yet so I do not know how it handles. I plan on going on friday afternoon.
I need to wear a suit everyday and have been carrying the PM45 but find it hard to completely conceal. This will fill the void.
As to the knife, yes it is a Spyderco carbon fiber Chaparral.

Dang, Mike, that's an expensive "toy" that you won't want to shoot a lot! THAT's why you're selling your PM45??
I thought that I was through with 9mm but bought a couple for Wifey... the P9 and then the G19. Now I have 4 and am looking for ammo before I run out... not soon, but in the future!

I put the PM45 up but no one has stepped up for it. I will more than likely just hod on to it. With the ammo being scarce it is good to have multi calibers on hand. I also scored a CM40 this week but my attorney friend wants it. :)

I have one of these and have a friend who uses one every day in the office. Currently, I think he is carrying his XDs in it. Very discreet, very comfortable. It is the SmartCarry (http://www.smartcarry.com/). Look around the site and you'll see the inventor showing how he carries a full size 1911 in one. They come in different sizes. Mine is for my CM9 or similar sized guns, and left handed. There is also a pocket for a spare mag.

Thats a nice pistol. Ive seen a couple at the gun show. When I saw and held one in person there was hardly any difference in that and my cm9 size/weight wise that I could really tell. Hows the trigger on that R9?

Trigger is very smooth and crisp. My wife has a CM9 and yes, it is very close in size.

Man, must be nice! I can't see myself spending that kind of money for a gun I can't enjoy at the range, heck I had a hard time paying what I did for my CM9 knowing that it wouldn't be as much fun at the range (it surprised me), I just saw it as necessity. But I'm glad some of us can do it! I've never even saw one of those, learn something new every day

Being a gun dealer I am constantly on the lookout for unusual guns, I had it in my mind to investigate this particular gun and just by chance I found one locally. The other gun that I am interested in getting my hands on is a Boberg, which is another pocket nine.
I have found there is a small cult following for the Rohrbaugh. The gun is made here in the US in New York by 2 guys. They make about 1000 per year. Their factory was damaged by hurricane Sandy and are now about 6months behind in production. They retail new from $1200 on up to $3500. I bought this knowing that I can flip it if I really wanted to. It is in excellent condition.
I have a few other guns that are my range/training guns. This one fits a specific niche for me. I may keep it for a week or for a few years. I will report on Friday as to whether I like it or not.

Well, congrats on the find. I was going nuts here trying to compare that Kahr with my PM45... thinking that would have to be a CM45... because it's so huge next to the R9!:D
I guess it's the CM40 with all of the new tags.:D Yeah, a little diversity in calibers is nice and can come in handy!
The Boberg XL looks neater and has more barrel, but that action is something else! You would have to be awake and paying attention when loading it... brass to the FRONT!

I've never seen one, but I've certainly heard of them before. I never really gave them much thought as a viable CC pistol for me personally. There just to expensive, and the PM9 is as small as I feel I'd want to go in a 9mm for EDC. I have heard some good things about them though. As mentioned I've heard they can be a little ammo sensitive. Other than that I can't say I've heard a lot of negative comments about them which is very unusual on Internet gun forums. Good luck with it.

Popeye, I hear ya about the size. In many cases this will be a BUG behind either a 1911 or a Glock, however if I am in a NPE then it would be the sole gun on me.

I've often thought of replacing my Seecamp with a Rohrbaugh, and giving up that ultra tiny concealabilty for the extra lethality. Maybe I will someday. They appear to be one of the highest quality guns made today. Outstanding addition to your collection, enjoy.

With me being retired and on a fixed income the only thing that would really piss me off is that if I ever did have to use the weapon in that price range, and they confiscated it into evidence I'd be out a very expensive pistol. Who knows what condition you'd get it back in after they got done throwing it around? The most expensive pistol I CC is my PM9 or my CZpo-1 and the most inexpensive would be my KT P3at and on some occasions my CZ82.

Both guns are very well built. I prefer the syling on the Boberg which also has similar features with the PM9 (similar nose on slide). But when you consider $1000 to $1400 per gun, they're a little pricey. And that's why I have 4 Kahrs.

So today I took the Rohrbaugh to the range to put it through its paces. First of all, it is not a gun that I would be shooting IDPA anytime soon LOL. This gun is a handful to shoot. Accuracy is fair. I shot 13 rounds from 7 yards and it would have put them on an 8" plate. I did drop one round but that was as a quick follow up shot. I don't think I would want to shoot 50 rounds through this gun at any one time. It actually started to hurt to shoot it. It felt like I was shooting 357 magnums through a S&W 350PD Scandium. Rohrbaugh recommends 115 grain Speer Gold Dots or WInchester Silvertip 115 bullets. I didn't have either of those in my inventory so I shot Hornady TAP 124 and also Hornady Critical Defense 124 grain. Both functioned fine, but I will still be on the hunt for the Gold Dots or Silvertips.
Overall I like the gun and it will be relegated as my NPE gun or as a back up in an ankle holster as it is easy to carry.
As a side note, I like the P380 better for the difference in price as well as ease of shooting. The P380 is just a fun gun to shoot.

I purchased a Rohrbaugh R9 last October. I was really looking hard at a PM9. I think the PM9 is a terrific pistol, I just decided that I wanted the lightest smallest Pocket 9 I could get that was still reliable. I know the DB9 is lighter but I read too many stories of them blowing up. I went with the R9 over the PM9 just because the R9 was slightly smaller and weighed a little less. I know it was a heck of a premium to pay for the slight differences in dimension and weight, but that's what I wanted... so there you have it.
The pistol is very well put together, high quality fit & finish. The DAO trigger is very smooth, only a slight amount of stacking toward the very end and it has a fairly crisp break.
It's true pocket pistol, it fits comfortably in my Levi jeans front pocket and disappears from view. I'm comfortable walking with it, sitting down and standing back up - it's very comfortable.

I've shot mostly 124gr Gold Dots and Lawman 124gr TMJ, but I've also put 147gr Winchester Ranger T and PDX1 through it without a problem.
I did have a problem with Remington Golden Sabre, I got fried egg primers and 2 failure to fire in just 7 rounds. I stopped firing the Golden Sabres and haven't had any other problem - absolutely no problems with Gold Dots and Winchester 147gr Ranger T - RA9T.

Actually very similar to a Seecamp. When Seecamp was introducing their 380 Rohrbaugh was introducing a 9 in almost the same size. Like Seecamp it is a tiny, very high quality, pocket pistol. Somewhat ammo specific, but how many times are you going to shoot that thing? Seecamp actually gave you an extra recoil spring with the .380 version. My Seecamp gets carried from time to time but believe me, it has very few rounds through it.
Either of these are last ditch firearms. I will never sell my Seecamp .32, too well made to part with.

C0untZer0 -- there's no question the Rohrbaugh is a sexy little BUG, especially in all black. I first learned of the Rohrbaugh R9 from John Farnam at a three day training in SC. He had highest praise for the Rohrbaugh but said that Kahr was also outstanding as an EDC piece. On a later trip to the LGS, there weren't any Rohrbaughs in the case, but there was a Kahr T9. I bought that T9 based on John's recommendation and started my love for Kahr Arms right then and there.

I really like my Boberg. They are definitely unique, Not much difference in size in height and length from the Rohrbaugh, but definitely wider and weighs a little more. For a small gun, it's a pretty comfortable shooter. Something you can put a 100 rounds down range and not feel like you've been in a fight. Some folks can carry it in their front pocket, I'd have to use cargo pants and the thigh pocket. I can carry it in my front pocket, but only without a holster, which I don't care for, so I tuck it in a Remora and carry it up front in the waistband at 11:00. It's longer barrel will give you more FPS and FPE too. I keep an eye on the Boberg forum, to see if the feeding system has caused any problems, and so far no one's had any issues. Sometimes if you don't rack the slide vigorously to chamber the first round, the cartridge will get hung up, but other than that no one has had any problems. The slide not locking back on the last round concerns some people, but that would actually slow down the reload process, as the slide must be closed to begin to chamber a round. It sure is a handy little gun, very easy to grab it and go, and has 7+1 capacity.
I have a friend down in Bartlesville, maybe next time I'm down that way we can meet somewhere and you can shoot it.
