PJ Holster doesn't have a clip on the pocket holsters. They do have a small thumb break to make drawing the gun easier. It's one of the thinest, lightest holsters made for pocket carry.

i have a few PJ holsters with the clip.. wasn't aware he made them without. The only issue i see with his is that they are kydex and may be too slippery.

I've heard (and may be ordering) a stay put holster. I've been to their site and I'm interested.
I think Melissa has one.

I think Jfootin has mentioned the stay put too but I could be mistaken.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I also have a question about pocket holsters. Is it best to get one with the little "hook" at the bottom rear, assuming that is meant to snag in your pocket ??:)

While yes, the "hook" will snag your pants pocket on the draw allowing the pistol to free itself, however I believe the design was intended to keep the pistol in the upright position by matching the shape of the bottom of the pants pockets of cargo shorts or similar pants pockets.
Helps to reduce printing as well.
Cut off the metal top band and you're gtg.

Check with Bob Mika. I have one of his for a J Frame. I believe he can make them for pretty near any pocket pistol. Excellent quality, reasonable and a stand-up guy to deal with.

I thought about an Uncle Mikes with a belt clip and then cut off the clip part. I think it was $10.
The wife has one for hers and I wanted to get one like it because it's so thin but Walmart hasn't had one lately. Maybe I'll just take hers.

I can't remember what the James Dean cost me. I am guessing about $50. I would go horsehide, as it is thinner. Get one with a hook and make sure it has a thumb push off to help get the draw started. Unless you bet very lucky, a cheap holster will come out with your gun on the drawstroke. Whatever you do, Practice, and when you are good, practice again, repeat frequently. I know nothing of the Kydex pocket holsters but they make me nervous because they are very rigid. My Mika for a snubbie works but it is bulky for me. A high quality leather one costs more but works every time and I can wear it with lightweight wool dress pants without printing. A $600 PM nine pointed at a bad guy with the holster still on, it is not the way I want to go.

I carry my PM9 in a modified by me Alabama Kydex holster. I'm very pleased with the holster and should it mean anything to you it is a favorite of Hicok45.
I'm assuming front pocket carry but Alabama also makes a back pocket holster.

I have both the Stays-Put and a PJ Holster pocket holster for my CM9. The PJ is thinner and prints less. It doesn't grab the inside of the pocket as well but it has a thumb break that you use to release the gun from the holster. The Stays-Put doubles as a clipless IWB holster and works very well for me in that role but for pocket carry I'd rather use the PJ because it prints less.
But honestly, unless most your time is spent on your feet, pocket carrying a PM/CM9 is not ideal. I'm a big guy (6'1", 275) with big pockets and its very noticeable in my front pocket while sitting, but isn't while standing. Granted it looks like a wallet while sitting but I still don't like it much.

I've recently switched from the Desantis Superfly to the Alabama Holster.
The Alabama holster maintains it's shape, doesn't trap sweat, and prints less.

Desantis SuperFly is the best! Has a removable flap you can use or not depending on need.

Old thread. I was going to say to simply make a pocket holster out of thin leather and put on a flap so it don't print in your pocket. That Desantis superfly looks like it would be comfortable too. I'll need to look into that for my wife's 380.

Problem I have found with so many pocket holsters is that when gun drawn, holster comes out with it. The Superfly is made of material that kinda sticks to pocket allowing gun to be withdrawn. I really like them for pocket carry.

I like the Desantis for my little Sig P238. It does look like a wallet in your pocket but definitely not like a gun. Found it used in a local pawn/gun joint for $20. Once broken in the holster will not come out with the gun.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/14/jama4u3a.jpg

about 5 years back I bought one of those fanny pak rigs that had the velcro andu just ripped it open to get your weapon out. I thought I might like it for Harley riding, but my riding buddies made so uch fun of me with it on, That I finaly sold it to a Gold Winer rider. In that weapon pouch parrt he now carrys 6 snickers choclate bars and facial make up cream.:Amflag2:
He won't speak to me anymore for when he took it home to show his wife what he bought, he had never checked it out , so his wife was checking it out and ripped open the hidden pouch area and there was 6 paks of "Mighty Man" Xlarge trojans in there. He sleep in a motel for 3 days after that. Just sayin

I recommend the REMORA Clipless Holster with their "leather" lined interier. These little jewels work great and are thinner than their standard Clipless Holster. I carry my S&W Mod 60-3 in one.

I found that if it does not have an extra flap to prevent printing, it simply show like a gun in the pocket. JMO.

I looked at the Desantis Superfly and found that the flap makes the holster kind of bulky in the pocket. I decided to make my own out of a thin leather. I copied a pocket holster I purchased for my PM and made one for our S&W BG380. It looks just like a wallet in my pocket and is not bulky or heavy. After carrying the 380, I found the PM to be too big and heavy for pocket carry and I generally carry the PM IWB in a Remora. The 380 I carry in the pocket using my home made leather pocket holster...or I carry it IWB in a Remora. I wondered why I felt the PM was too heavy and did a test. I found that anything over 14 oz in my pocket, I perceived as being too heavy and kind of uncomfortable. Anything under 14oz, I perceived as being more comfortable. Just me. A home made leather pocket holster is very easy to make. Photos are old.

I second the DeSantis Nemesis.... It is an top obvious choice. The Nemesis is very similar to the DeSantis Super Fly, but the Nemesis is less expensive. Also the Superfly has a flap, as another poster pointed out. It Velcro's on and can be removed. The purposes is to make it print less, giving a square outline. It seems to be of little use, and most leave it off. The Super Fly has sticky outer material, but the Nemesis also has sticky outer surface and slick inner lining. I find the Nemesis stays in pocket when I draw and cost half as much as Super Fly....
