Thinking about buying either the P40 or the CW40, in the cataloge the differences are mainly cosmetic machining and the barrel rifleing. Is thier any differences in shoot-a-bility? Meaning will the function of the P40 be better than that of the CW40? Is the price worth it?

Thanks for your input,
Bowman

From the owner of both the simple answer is "no"

Is the price worth it?
Only you can decided that....I really wanted the P but bought the CW because of the price.....After realizing I was going to start dumping money into the CW anyway(night sights and blacked slide) I decided to sell the CW and get a black stainless P9 with night sights

with the availability of night sights now for the cw series kahrs, The CW is a total buy for sure. Super gun, shouldn't be any difference in shoot ability. Parts are the same internally. Get two mags with the P9 and it comes with the option of ordering with night sights etc. Some engraving on the slide. has a forged slide lock lever where as the CW is MIM made but again neither will ever give one issue either. Polygonal rifled barrel over conventional. no big deal either. Both barrels are just as accurate as the other. the P9 is a super super handgun IMO, but for the bucks the CW is very hard to beat. You look hard enough, you will find one for $400 and under. The P9 can be ordered in the DLC balck finish also, CW series comes two tone only. again preference over anything else..

+1 to all answers above...Get a CW and use the money saved for sights, porting, an extra magazine $30.00 and or ammo...I love my CW40...

Cant really go wrong with either gun. It is all about what you like and what is important to you. The CW is a fine gun. The P has many bells and whistles. Like PaiN said if you are going to get the CW and then add all the bells and whistles.......get her loaded up right away. Like others said if the beels and whistles aren't in your future the CW is a great shooter and a fine gun that can be had for a real good price!!!
