I know many of you use them. Do you have the 'RFT' or the Original? Did you do the lining upgrade? Is it easy to draw from the holster?Just thinking about one of these for my mk9 and k9 and would like some thoughts.

I use them exclusively now. Couldn't be happier.

Yes, I have an RFT and I personally prefer that (tried both initially). The non-RFT would be fine (and maybe even preferred) if you don't plan on needing to re-holster. But I do practice drawing and do exercises at the range when nobody else is there. The RFT really helps in that regard. Otherwise, the non-RFT is a bit thinner and a bit more comfortable. But I find the RFT plenty comfortable. In the end, RFT or non-RFT, personal choice. I suggest you try one of each and send one back. That's what I did.

They didn't do the leather lining when I switch to carrying in a Remora. Can't comment on that. Sorry.

I also prefer the ART model, but I think the 3B and 3C (which you would use for the MK or K) are by default ART, don't think there is an option to not be. The ART in the larger sized holsters just allows for a larger area on the gun to be exposed where the trigger guard meets the grip. Just allows (IMO) for a better/fuller grip when drawing. I carry my Sig P250C in a #10 ART RFT. Works great even for a 26oz (unloaded) pistol.

I don't think they are that great for pocket carry, too thick. So keep that in mind.

Those are just my thoughts. YMMV.

I have a Remora (no shield, no stiffener) for my PM9 when I carry AIWB. Mostly pocket carry so it doesn't get much use. Personally I prefer a regular leather clip holster or Kydex holster for belt carry over the Remora. Not saying its a bad holster, just not my cup of tea.
