I received a PJ holster for my K9. I got the tuckable version which I like. What I don't like is the big clip that stands out like a sore thumb on my belt. Has anyone tried the J hook with Velcro, or any other options, for the K9 or MK9? I have both guns and I am looking for a slightly more concealable holster when I have to dress up. I also just got a crossbreed minituck but again, it has two noticeable clips.

Are these guns too heavy for Velcro clips? Has anyone tried any other options?

I tried the J-hook, but didn't care for it. If the color of your belt matches the color of the holster the clip isn't all that noticeable. You notice it because you know it's there. Most people are oblivious to what's going on around them. Call or e-mail Paul. He'll probably be more than willing to exchange the holster for the J-hook style. He may even offer a better solution. He likes happy customers.

I carry the same rig and also carry my cell phone on the same side. It blocks the clip well enough that it passes everything but the closest scrutiny.

I have the tuckable for my pm9. Also didn't like the way the hook stood out so took some tinsnips and cut the hook part off. I use the velcro that came with it and it works just fine. Makes everything 100% concealable as well. I still tend to use it more when I wear jeans with a gun belt but use my Remora when wearing Dockers so I can wear a "dressier" belt.

I have the tuckable with Velcro hook on a flat panel and Velcro loop on the back of one of my belts. Mine is for my CM9, but I see no problem with the Velcro holding one of those guns.

I'm about 158 pounds and 5' 8". I should wear a medium but I wear large polos... short and long-sleeved UNTUCKED for concealed carry. That's one concession for CC... and I wear a GOOD GUN BELT... the Looper with Kydex reinforcing to stop sagging. It really helps... that and a good holster... the Cross Breed Minituck... one-size-fits-all for the PM9 through PM45... I have three now... all interchangeable... K9, PM9,P9, P40, and PM45. The P380 just drops in, but I have one for it, too, a Minituck, an OWB Cross Breed, and a COM clip-on IWB.

I wear the holster at around 4 to 4:30 so that nothing is viewable from the front. My spare magazine is in a Tactical kydex holder OWB on the left side.
