I've said this from time to time in threads related to bans, legislation, etc. But here it is, front and center. Bans won't happen nationally, until the makeup of the SCOTUS changes. Even some level of state bans that have happened recently could possibly be challenged and beaten at the SCOTUS level. But, in the end, THIS is the way it's gonna go down folks. SCOTUS has already stated that taxes, fees, penalties to illicit behavior is OK (ObamaCare) and they will not stand in the way. If the HoR flips back democrat, look for this across the board.

This is the wave of the future, mark my words.

Taxes, fees, and penalties are all infringement in my book.

Course I'm not sure they speak the language as us devout Americans.

"If anything, gun owners ought to be getting a tax rebate for helping reduce crime,"

Heehee. I did like that statement. Maybe I'll try and deduct my ammo purchases this year. Think that'd get me audited?!

If you mean surtaxes, yeah. But sales tax, or the FairTax, applied equally to everything, is ok with me.

I'm ok with sales tax as it is now but not adding more tax just cause it's a gun or a bullet. That one moron pushing for 5% per bullet, I got one for him.

I agree 100000 %. The 2A will stay intact and to circumvent the wrangling about it, it will made so expensive to BaK arms instead. The end result is essentially the same.

Yep, as soon as the prices of 9mm FMJ are back down to under $15/box, I'm gonna buy the living crap out of it. 22lr, 223/556, and 357 magnum also. I've got a pretty decent stock, but I'm going for a lifetime supply next time I can afford it. My goal is to never go ammo shopping again after 2014.

My new motto...

"As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again. No, nor any of my folk. As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again."

Took out the part about lie, cheat, steal, and kill...figured that might be a bit extreme :D

Frankly My Dear, I don't give a Damn.
