View Full Version : Reasonable asking price for K9 Elite?

I've been looking to trade my Kahr K9 Elite with three mags (1 7-round, 2 8-round with pinkie extensions), strong night sights, Hogue rubber grips, and box/papers, but I have not been able to get the trade I'm looking for. If I were to switch to a cash sale price, what would be a reasonable asking price in very good condition? I tried coming up with a price using online research, but either they are just hard to find or my Google-fu is weak (a distinct possibility).

I also have 4 additional mags and some custom leather holsters, but I can pretty easily factor the additional cost of those.

Any suggestions/input would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a good answer on the gun but the holsters you'd probably be better off selling separately.

They are sort of like rifle scopes, worth little to nothing as a package even they they may be good quality and expensive originally.

Maybe add one to sweeten the deal but separate the others.

Actually the same with mags, getting replacement value may put the gun out of reach for potential buyers but anyone with a K9 might scoop up well priced spare mags.

Think I could make it in the used car business?

That is exactly what I'm planning to do. Essentially the trade package was the pistol, 3 mags, a Galco Matrix holster, and a double mag pouch. Everything you need to go right to work with it. My plan is handle a cash sale (if I decide to do it) the same way.
Thanks,

Hopefully we'll get some comparisons in pretty soon.

I'll try to check and see what's going on the gun auctions too.

There are two on Gunbroker (http://www.gunbroker.com/Firearms/BI.aspx?Keywords=Kahr+K9+Elite) right now, listing in the mid $800s.

Thanks. I had been able to find a couple of new ones, but I did not have any luck finding any used ones to comp.
Best regards,

If you use the advanced search on Gunbroker you can research past sales. It's a handy feature. There were four pages of Elites. It looks as though $650 to $700 is the price range where people actually bought.

Right in the range I was looking at. Thanks!
