A universal background check only would identify you as a gun purchaser. It wouldn't tell the government anything about the gun. But the government is free to check a gun dealers records and that would tell them who bought what, so therefore, universal background checks are defacto gun registration. Gun registration has always led to gun confiscation and that's why I oppose it. It's also an infringement upon our 2A rights. Anyone who supports universal background checks should be voted out of office.
