New here, but have a problem. Took my CW9 to the range. It has about 200 to 300 rounds through it. Here is what it does:
The slide locks to the rear about one round out of every magazine. And it does not lock on the locking bar, it actually gets stuck at maximum extension. Its like the rails just get stuck. You can see that the round is in the magazine, not stuck up on anything. I drop the magazine and put pressure on the rear of the slide and it pops into battery. Then I lock the slide back properly with the locking bar. Insert the mag and it as soon as a full mag is inserted, it pops into battery on its own. The weird thing is that the slide isn't getting locked back with the locking bar.......but is just getting stuck.
I did put a new slide spring in it and took it back out. Same problem.
Then one more really weird thing. I was going to try some replacement parts one by one, to see if I could find the issue. My son has a CW9 that is an EGxxxx serial number (mine is an EHxxxx), so I first tried to swap out the barrel. With his barrel in my slide, the barrel would not seat well enough to get the slide back on the frame! It looked like it fit, but you could tell after we examined it closer that the barrel did not fully seat, and the slide could not return onto the frame with that barrel in place.
Any ideas? I have sent it back to Kahr, but I am curious at to what it could be. THese are our first Kahrs. I am used to working on Glocks, but this was a really strange problem. Hope it is easily fixed, I really like the gun. It is b=very accurate for such a short barrel. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
