I do too, nothing like a 45 to help maintain peace of mind. If only I could get my Beagle to fear me when he see's it.
It's a scarey world.

My son is a molecular biolgist studying DNA and the effects of certian parts of it on slowing and eventually stopping cancer cell growth.

I hate to see something like this happenening to anyone at all. Especially peaceful law abiding folks and ones with small children. I think had this "robber" picked a diffent molecular biologist (my son) home he would never have had to worry about cancer getting him.

Protect your home, there is a wife without a husband and a 5 year old with out a father because a dirt bag thought it was ok to take what he wanted and then destroy the evidence. This kind of thing really chaps me.

This stuff is happening all the time out there, but this is especially a bad one. The local news here has some story every day about a shooting, but the press usually latches on to the killings and robbery of the rich or accomplished. I do not carry at home all the time, but I know that I should. Does anyone actually answer and open their front door when there is a salesman knocking?

We only read what the press tells us. I suspect incidents like this could be bigger than they let us believe. We all jump on the conspiracy stuff but it has to be considered. If this man or people like him succeed in a cure, there's a lot of people gonna be out a lot of money.
Compare to creating vehicles that can get 100 miles to the gallon. The technology is there, the people that created it are very rich or dead! And the goverment brags about cars that get 40? Who can say if this is that kind of deal or just another dirt bag attack but food for thought and fuel for ulcers.

I had in a couple of occasions very suspicious individuals knocking on my door asking for donations at 8PM at night, lights off shotgun on hand, never ever open that door no matter who it is, I talked to them via kitchen window (they could not see my position), told them not interested. When I looked at the other window the individuals got into a suspicious car. Although the Police department is 4 blocks away I feel much better with my arsenal in hand!

This is another instance also that happened last year in my area, they use a girl(decoy) to have the people open the door but the kid answering the door did not opened it, the BG got angry started shooting, luckily the BG miss the kid. Good thing they had cameras!

Excellent choice, you won't be disappointed.

Very suspicious circumstances. I've often wondered about if something happened at home I'd have to run to the bedroom first, then confront badguy. I guess I've always assumed it would happen at night while I was in bed. Maybe I'll just get another for under the couch, and another for in the kitchen and another for the bathroom and another for.......

I dont answer the door after dark unless I am armed. Usually a Sig 229 13 rounder.

Not for everyone but your best bet is to have something strap on your belly all the time.

I too carry 24/7, and if I'm at home, then my closet is open as well, the pistol I have buys me the time to get in there. I get into my closet and its game over. Yes my daily carry piece changes almost daily as I select what I carry based on my mood and have a little to choose from. My long guns are in the closet (the door does have a lock on it). and God Himself cannot help the one who would try to harm my daughter (if you ever see a mushroom cloud toward Dallas TX then you'll know what happened).

You mean like the attachment below! I will be on the lookout but I hope I do not have to see it, because no one will dare to cross you.

I thought there was always a mushroom cloud over Dallas. Figured it was oil. Good plan you got and just to make it absolutely crystal clear, your daughter has nothing to fear from me. Somebody messes with her I'll help contribute to the mushroom cloud.

I suppose this wouldn't be an ideal time to request a picture of your daughter? Naaah, bad idea. I respectfully withdraw the request.

ok bye

If I can get one to load on here I'd love too, but give me a moment. And yes I do mean that kind of cloud. I have ZERO sense of humor when it comes to child predators in general, and even less when it's my daughter.

Let's see if that works. The first was just a few months ago when I came home after renewing my CHL, the second is of my daughter and her namesake, my great-grandmother together. I have more to download into the computer but haven't done it yet.

She's a cutie (meant in a totally platonic innocent and totally respectful manner). Which usually means mom's a hottie, also meant in the aforementioned manners.
I've taught my boys to always check out mom before they fall in love. Beautiful girls will look like mom in 20 years good or bad. Just one of lifes lessons, I offer this as a public service.

ok bye

I have a suspicion that there's more to this story than meets the eye. The bad guy gets full cooperation from the victim and the BG kills the victim, then the BG burns victims house while wife escapes with nary a broken fingernail. Something smells and it ain't the burning body.

If I'm awake I'm carrying. Asleep it's under my pillow (pm45). I also keep a g36 in the kitchen. bg can pop up any where, any time. Be ready!
