IM looking to buy an almost new Kahr MK9, and I would like to be sure that the frame has no cracks. Should I inspect the mag well, or do I need to remove the grip panels to be certain?

We've heard of very few cracked MK's around here but no harm in doing a thorough examination.
I don't know if it works on a kahr, never tried but I've used it on other frames and particularly Beretta slide.
Probably have to remove the grips and slide. Just hook a finger thru the trigger guard and hit is gently with something metal, a screw driver or a hammer.
It should ring like a bell. If there's a crack it will be flat, no ring.
Not sure it would work on the Kahr or not.
Highly doubtful its crack and a visual is probably enough.

Giving this more thought I doubt the bell trick would work. One would have to completely strip the frame, remove everything so it's a bare frame.
Not applicable in this instance. A good visual inspection will have to suffice.

ask to have the grips removed. an easy inspection . If they hesitate, then IMO walk away. with ur middle finger in the air. Just sayin:Amflag2:
