The last few years I have tried several CCW pistols. The one I carried most often was the PF9. It's good for what it is, but is somewhat crude in it's execution.
Anyway I had been reading about Kahrs for awhile and had fingered several at my local gun shops. The price on the PM9 pushed me away a couple times. I then discovered the CM9, but it was constantly sold out everywhere.
A little over a month ago I was at the gun show and found a very clean looking used CM9 being sold for $350. I was able to walk away with it for $335.
I inspected the piece and promptly proceeded to put 50 rounds through it, flawless. Over the next couple weeks I put a few more boxes through, it is a beautiful pistol. So I then ordered a couple of the 7 round mags. The mags arrive and I hit the range. Load, chamber, fire....... son of a %$#%&. The little gap in the mag bases and grip pinches in a quite unpleasant manner. I modify my hold after repeated pinches, but I need to test the pistol's reliability. The mags fed properly and again, beautiful pistol.
I carry with the 6 rounder but that mag pinch was not going to do, so I hit the hardware store and bought a few rubber rings. The one inchers fit over the mag body perfectly but the mags had to be seated with too much effort. So I took a gnats hair off the top of each mag base and re-ringed. The mag go in like butter and remove any play. The test was if it fired properly. I loaded both mags three times over and emptied with no problems and NO PINCH.
I present this "fix" knowing it may not be aesthetically pleasing to all, but the gap is nothing to be proud of either. And at the end of the day, for me this gun is a work gun and function trumps looks. And oh yeah, beautiful pistol. :)
*Edit: I didn't check if this had been submitted before, but apologies for taking up space if it has.*

Very nice post. I don't have my CM9 yet because I'm still waiting for my permit. But I do have some mags which I have tested with a friends MK9. I didn't notice the pinch with the 7-rounder when I was firing it, but I did notice that I had pinch marks (which actually broke the skin) when I got home. So your solution may be something I need to keep in mind once I finally have my gun in hand.

Others here have used the O rings like you did. It is a good solution and doesn't look bad at all, IMO.
The best holster I have found for forget-it-is-there comfort 24/7 with my CM9 is the PJ IWB Holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37). There are so, so many members here that will concur. Paul is a great guy and a real gun lover, and he performs magic with kydex - making the holster incredibly comfortable to where you can't tell it is there whether sitting, standing or moving about. It is like the mass of the gun disappears, becoming one with your body. I carry mine with a 15° cant just behind my hip - the sweet spot. I prefer the one linked above with the over the belt clip. I normally wear the above under a loose shirt.

By the way, money mike, you should ask JFootin to show you his CM9 sometime. It's probably the prettiest CM9 this side of the galaxy.
P.S. Note to JFootin ... Please keep me in mind should you ever decide to sell it. I would gladly buy it and then worry about whether to ever fire it or not after I've had it for a while.

Welcome to the forum Money Mike. Several other people have complained about the "magizine pinch". It looks like you came up with a pretty good solution to the problem. I have a PM9, essentially the same as a CW9, and have never had a pinch problem. I think that is because different hands with different fingers fit on the handles differently. However, if I develop a pinch problem, I will try the "O" ring solution. Thanks for the post.

So I took a gnats hair off the top of each mag base and re-ringed.
I am not someone who is very good at fiddling with things in such a way that they end of working when I'm done. Could you be more specific regarding how thick a gnats hair is, and how you actually took the gnats hair off. And did you have to take the plastic end thing off the mag in order to take the gnats hair off.

I would have used a different word for gnats hair but this fourm doesn't allow it. Just sayin
More than likey u could have identified more with my word that a gnat hair, which I have never really seen in my lifetime. Just sayin

Thank you for the welcomes. I've been reading quite a bit and it seems you guys have amassed a nice base of knowledge about the Kahrs.
About the gnat's hair, I also would have chosen a different description but decided to keep it clean. About the specifics, when you look at the top edge of the magazine base, you will notice a small lip (maybe from the mold). I took about 3/4 of that lip off. The plastic is surprisingly hard and sandpaper wasn't cutting it, so I just held it on the side of the bench grinder for a couple seconds with very little pressure.
It came out nice and even and I just smoothed it over with some fine grit. But seriously it is a very small amount you need to take off so go easy. The mag catch engages with no upward pressure needed and it seems to be enough to prevent pinch and still feed properly.
I would advise that you try a single mag first in case any dimensions may differ on anyone else's pistols.

Just joined the site & was experiencing the mag. pinch on both the flat 6 rounder & 7 round cm9 mag.. Tried your o ring fix & works great. I understood perfectly the width of a gnat's hair & used my dremmel carefully on the base of the 7 round mag which I removed first. Both mags seat & function properly. The 7 rounder will be my range & spare carry mag.. I regularly run carry ammo thru both. Thanks

Used the o-ring on my 6 rounder.

My 7 rounder does not pinch, guess it's my hands, I also only grip the gun with two fingers and use the pinky extension on the 6 round mag and the 7 round mags extension as a rest for my pinky as opposed to gripping it and squeezing .

Good advice.
